*hint: Not me.
from a 60 mph roll in 3rd, and it was almost like i was sitting still.
conclusion: ive never been very familiar with subarus, but the sti is apparently quick as fuck.
im surprised those cars arent more popular. i guess its the price tag.
anyone here go from a sti to an si...
Gentleman, im back from my month long ban. I still dont know exactly what i said that was ban worthy, but i guess freedom of speech isnt a virtue in this form. So now i will heavily censor myself going forward
Anyways my dudes, my si is back with with Michelin ps summer tires and damn this...
if soneone is willing to sell their unlocked flashpro for the 2017+ civic si for $425 shipped, ill buy it immediately. sold mine a month ago but now regret it.
ive been thinking about it lately after looking at pics of my 8th and 9th gen si coupes and it really made me miss the look of the straight down angled fenders. they look a lot more aggressive to me, especially seeing them in person.
the fenders on out 10th gens almost remind me of mazda...
Just watched Matt Maran's review of the Si, and at one point he states the Si only felt "about 50 hp slower than the Type R". He tested the Type R previously.
For you guys who went from Si to Type r, strictly speaking when it comes to power and acceleration only, how much of a jump did it...
Strictly looks, which gen si do you think was the most attractive? Since this is only for coupes, the ugly 7th gen egg/mini van doesnt count.
For me it is the 8th gen. 2nd would be the 10th gen.
i have been having this nagging suspicion that after 2 generations of just marginal bumps in power, and all the complaining about it over the years, Honda will up their game with the 11th gen si. I predict something around the lines of 230/240 hp.
which will lead to many trading in their 10th...
I know it calls for 1.9 but i usually add a little extra since i had a little left in an old bottle. So id say theres around 2.2 qts in the trans now. Is this too much? Enough to cause drag or froth/overheating? I used oem mtf btw.
Additional info* It seems to shift a little better with this...
I have noticed in the last few months that people are getting rid of their SI's like they are the plague. It seems like many people get bored of it and trade it in for a CTR, or anything else. A lot of people are jumping ship!
While I am not quite at a year, I can honestly say that I still love...
Since my clutch is shit since I used the ktuner, I have been running the +6 on my FP. But now it slips still from when I was flashed with KT.
I am thinking about flashing the stock equivalent map. Does anyone know if this map adds any additional power? I may just flash it just for the start up...
Well guys, clutch is slipping moderately bad, which 1 do i need to get? For all of you who have replaced yours already, what did you go with? Did you just keep your original flywheel and have it resurfaced?
Is there an Exedy clutch available for our SI's yet?
It was running good for a few days, but today on the highway, downshifted into 4th at 70 and it started slipping. It happened multiple times. Got home, flashed back to 21.5 psi, and it stopped slipping.
Sucks how weak these clutches are. And it doesn't appear we have many options yet. Which...
Just curious which map you guys prefer? I have been running the 19/23 and have been loving it so far. Still haven't flashed the TSP tune yet, but will be doing that soon.
I have heard that the TSP tune's power delivery isn't as smooth. For those of you who have flashed the TSP stage 1 tune, do...
I have searched and I cannot find all the information that i am looking for. I am trying to adjust my 3 maps for the on the fly map switching.
- What are the boost target ramp rates? What do they do, and what setting do you recommend?
- Why are there different options for "improved...
i know with the ktuner base maps and the tsp tune we are supposed to be sure that the Kcontrol stays in check, but what else do we need to pay attention to in tunerview to be sure that our engines are operating the the safe zone?
