I posted about this ealier somewhere else. I have just a good ol' LX. I have yet to take the car into the dealership for anything, but when I do I'm definitely going to mention it and see what they say
That's interesting I never thought to do that. I would just activate Siri like I usually would on my phone and speak. Next time, I will activate Siri then hold the mic button down, see if it does anything
Thanks for the tip!
Take care of yourself! I'm only 26 and have had knee and back surgeries. My Ortho doc and Spine surgeon both told me "you have like a mid-40 year old's body....." (T____T)
I'll pay more attention to the CVT now that I'm aware it's out of the ordinary and try to be more thorough with my documentation so I can have a log so to speak when I go to the dealer.
As for break-in oil, I was under the impression it actually needed to be changed sooner than a normal change...
+1 vouch for the custom Husky liners mats. I got them with a 10% off coupon a while ago and they're phenomenal. Lifetime guarantee to boot.
Just a tiny bit of slick with wet shoes, but the ridges still give traction. They fit extremely well and look really nice.
I didn't even have 100 miles on...
Thanks for the tip
Any chance you can link where others have complained about this? If I go to the dealership (will not go to original dealership I purchased the car at, as it's over 100 miles away), I would like to read some evidence regarding what others have done/what they've said at...
I was on the fence for a while about buying those lights. I decided I didn't really need them and never pulled the trigger.
Glad I didn't! Thanks for the heads up OP!
LX cloth seats here. My brother and I definitely complain of back pain/low back pain driving the Civic, extended drives or not. I don't think it's a positional issue cause I rarely change the seat, just minor taps vertically and occasionally the lean. Sometimes I get back pain, sometimes I...
LX owner here.
This is my first experience with a CVT and personally, it's all good except at low speeds. Almost always, around 12-17 mph when decelerating, there is a strong stutter/downshift. I especially notice it when I'm just coasting to a red light and then the car like jerks when it hits...
Just finished (finally! After waiting so long for a replacement bulb) installing my own DDM HID kit (4500k, 55W). I placed left ballast towards the wiper fluid and right ballast on the cover for the fuse box with double-sided gorilla tape - someone said don't put it on fuse box in another thread...
I have only had one prior vehicle, a 2004 Lexus IS 300 Sport. With that being said, I tried to be as objective as possible knowing that I would have an innate bias towards the luxury items that come with a Lexus. I'm really glad you posted this thread because it made me reflect on the past 2...
Hey there,
I think the reason why the DDM kit is so cheap is because it ships from China and it doesn't cost them much. A comparable Xenon kit from my local store is $65, most likely because they have more overhead.
I attempted to install my own HID kit yesterday with a friend and after an hour...
I'm just super new to any kinds of modifications whatsoever - I've literally never done any before and already with this car I made a list XD
1. HID kit -- purchased, just need to install
2. Interior map lights
3. Horn!
4....eventually, see what kind of engine mods come out to increase...
I'm going to install my HID kit soon and figured I could do the horn too while I was at it. Used the horn today and I almost didn't even hear it with the radio playing and the other cars
I'm just waiting for one other person to do it before I attempt to lol
Has anyone actually replaced their horn yet? I went digging around my civic LX and couldn't find the stock horn (didn't take off the front bumper)
Would love to know what horns can take the place of the stock (like college Hills, etc) for easy plug and play

Good to know, same thing for me. The problem I guess is the microphone Siri just isn't recognizing me talking.
It's frustrating while driving, receive a text, and try to respond with Siri but it refuses to work. I haven't tried it yet via USB so gotta give that a go
