I was torn between buying the Civic and the new Prius, but after I learned Toyota doesn't support Android Auto that nearly made my decision for me, and the weird layout and packages for the Prius.
The installer prefers Xpel, since it's easier to apply and better quality. You may want to contact him to get a definitive answer on what happens to the paint.

I decided to order a cheap rubber mat for the back row from Amazon that is designed to be trimmed if it's too big, while I wait for the Weathertech back row. It'll do for now.
I called Weathertech just now and was given a time frame of mid-march for the second row mats. I think I will go ahead and order the Husky and just put away the front weathertech for... hmm no idea, I don't see myself changing mats seasonally.
My dealership put the Weathertech mats on top of the OEM carpet, do you think I should remove the carpet? I just left it there, but maybe it will be better to remove them. I might purchase the Husky, since Weathertech is taking too long with the back row and trunk.
