Mine was a crack in the throttle body coupler. I put the 27WON replacement on and it was back to normal. The OEM part is probably going to go out on a lot of type Rs that are tuned and/or driven hard.
No clue what it is, but I would have it towed to a mechanic to diagnose it. That sounds like something that could cause a window mod if it continues to be run.
I still don't understand why. https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/change-engine-oil-hot-or-cold/#:~:text=When%20it%20comes%20to%20the%20question%2C%20%22Is%20it,should%20be%20changed%20while%20it%27s%20still%20hot.%20
The problem is that it only cools the IATs, not the IAT2 which is the initial intake temp. If that gets too high, like it does often in Florida summers, you won't get a huge benefit. I've had a Snow Performance Stage 1 running just water initially, and you actually notice a slight decrease in...
My dual phase midpipe has shown as "in production" for several days. Does anyone know if that means it is actually being made right now or is that just the status for the 10 weeks of queue time I was promised?
Interesting. I'm betting they have better turn in feel at that pressure. Do you notice any uneven wear from being overinflated?
I remember over a decade ago, I had high performance summer tires on my pretty heavily modified 6th gen Accord. I ran those tires 8 to 10 psi over what the door card...
You must not be talking about the base model Crosstrek. That thing is literally one of the slowest cars in production. It makes my wife's HRV feel peppy.
I would think most warranties would have an exclusion for track use. Maybe do some research to see how reliable the CVT in the 10th Gen is. If Honda built it strong enough, it might be okay with that kind of abuse.
You definitely need better pads and fluid to do long stretches on a high-speed track. Unrelated, do you have any way to measure your CVT temperature? I'd be concerned running one that hard for that long. CVTs aren't super durable things. My wife's HRV's CVT blew at 66,000 miles and Honda paid...
I've found the alcantera wheel much easier to keep clean than my leather wheel was. I hated the way the leather felt after just a couple weeks. Keeping the red part of the leather wheel clean looking was just about impossible. 5 minutes with dawn soap and water mix every month or so keeps the...
I bought the lifetime alignment through them. I've only used it once so far, but I will be using it again soon. I think it's highly dependent on the actual shop. I felt comfortable getting the lifetime thing because the guys at the shop were friendly and let me watch them do it.
