  1. Daytime Running Lights even when lights are off?

Absolutely! For me it's not so much the aesthetics, just the ability to be off when parked. Since they have an on/off option where the lights come on when the wipers are on, I'm sure they could create the same for this situation.
  2. Daytime Running Lights even when lights are off?

A main feature of DRLs is they go off automatically when you turn off your car. My 98 es300 had DRL that could be turned off. But the lights were not separate lights. DRLs is really just a feature, that may or may not be a separate set of lights.
  3. Daytime Running Lights even when lights are off?

My GF has DRLs on her 2013 Elantra, and they can be turned off. The fact that you cannot turn off the DRLs on this car is one of the more annoying features. There are plenty of times I am sitting in my car and do not want my lights on. Sitting in a parking lot, picking up a friend, waiting on my...
  4. What do you pay lease? Advice?

Cap Cost and Cap Reduction? Basically a good deal is 5% or more off MSRP. Taxes, Money Factor (based on credit), residual, dmv fees are mostly standard fees.
  5. 2nd time since I have had the car and it's locked me out.

This has happened to me once (owned since January) and I know there is a thread on here about this very issue. Manually unlocking seems to be the only fix as of now
  6. Need some advice before buying

I have the ex-t, 6k+ miles, and the car is great. For the money this is one of the best options. I have no complaints, and the only real negative is the infotainment system is not as responsive as other models ive used.
  7. Switching from D to S while driving?

I switch between D,S,L all the time. Ill switch into S when passing and then switch back to D because the car seems to maintain the higher speed in D longer than it does in S. I have no idea if this will cause any problems later down the line, but this is the reason I lease cars.
  8. Door locking beep...

It's no longer applicable as I have a new job, and now do mostly highway driving. So the seatbelt is worn. I understand the logic of wearing a seatbelt. But statistically I ran very little chance of getting into an accident driving to my previous job. Especially one that would cause any type of...
  9. To what temperature do you set your auto climate control?

Since it has just started to warm up here in NY, I have been setting it on low with the AC on. One thing I have noticed is the AC is not cold at all, which has been a major disappointment. Reminds me off my 99 explorer which never seemed to get cold. Through December and January I had my...
  10. Lx,ex and ex-t owners question?

The cloth is holding up well in mine ( Just under three months). I also have no kids or pets. I do not eat in my car, no coffee spills yet, and it is a smoke free car. I have only had passengers in the back a handful of times. So I may not be the best judge of how the seats will hold up over time.
  11. Were any of you trying to convince yourselves you didn't want the Touring?

Your so right about ford. Test drove the fusion. The only color combo they had, that I would have liked, was a Titanium Fusion. I was not looking to spend 30k+ on a fusion.
  12. Post your tinted windows

I checked over my tints yesterday and besides a few tiny bubbles on the rear windshield, they look fine. The place and tinter who did the installation, have a great reputation. So I am sure if anything did go wrong it would be fixed. Thanks for the advice.
  13. Post your tinted windows

Thanks. I should have looked it over better before I left. Was in a rush because I had dinner plans with the GF. Ill look it over better in the morning. They are closed tomorrow, so if it's bad hopefully it can be fixed on Monday
  14. Post your tinted windows

Went with 18%. Took a ride into Manhattan afterwards. Nice tint during the day, and much better visibility at night than the 5% I had on my previous car. Also, the rear windshield had some noticeable bubbling. Especially towards the bottom. Is this normal and should I give it a couple days to set?
  15. Were any of you trying to convince yourselves you didn't want the Touring?

Never even considered the Touring. I do feel it offers the most for your money, if the additional features are something you want. I would rather save the 4k+. That is a weekend in Vegas that I will enjoy a lot more than my car lol.
  16. Post your tinted windows

I am debating between 5% and 15% all around. Can anyone compare the night time vision between the two? I had 5% around on my previous vehicle, but if 15% has a noticeable difference at night, I may go with that.
  17. Need Tips on Haggling Price Online

Go to 1-3 dealerships near you and tell them you want an EX-T. Give them the color options your willing to take and start negotiating. If this is a straight up purchase, no trade in, etc. it is very straight forward. Also, be nice to the salesman. Tell him you have 20k budget but really like the...
  18. EX-T Cloth Seats - Lower Back Pain?

Most likely the case. I have never experienced back pain in any car. Even on long distance trips (500-1500 miles), I will get leg discomfort but really no issues with my back. I also know I am very lucky to not have back pain issues. I am only 30yo, so that will probably change with time.
  19. What Civic model offers the best value to you?

The Touring is the best value. The turbo, headlights, leather, sensing, tech, and system just make it the best bang for your buck. Now if some or none of these features interest you, than it would personally not be worth the extra cost. As the OP said it ultimately comes down to personal choice...
