The new set up will feel great. Perhaps stick with the 35 front / 30 rear as a baseline and adjust from there. Lots of people locally run RT660's so you'll have fun with those.
Sounds like I need some more oversteer practice then. Looking back and analyzing my GoPro footage, I should have let off way earlier, let the weight transfer, rear kicks out, add steering and throttle it. I definitely could sent that turn much harder.
This looks similar to my slide last weekend with the new set up! When you felt the rear kick out, did you let off completely and let the weight transfer forward + steer or did you modulate the throttle?
I attempted 33 psi rear (OEM pressure, but without the pedal dance) and it doesn't rotate as much as I wanted it to. It "drags". Bumping up the rear psi up felt the best to me. 28 seems pretty low, how much rotation were you getting?
@Redwing has great points here. The biggest thing here is to...
And I had the opportunity to run the 200TW / 340 TW split! Konig Ultragram 17x9 +40 on 245/45 RE71RS's fronts. Didn't lose much steering feel due to the stiffer sidewalls. These things are sticky!
Quick phone pic at the paddock.

I will say, the split TW +...

Highly recommend auto cross too! Been to 4 events already and every time is a blast.
I do plan on a track day, someday, but auto cross is way cheaper. I also like the competitive aspect of it.
Random thought, but did you ever have a 27Won RMM? I have the street version from 27Won and even that was a bit too much NVH for me. I eventually reverted back to the OEM RMM.
I like this PRL design with the two 60A bushings so I may want to try that out.
Literally going the same set up except Konig Ultragrams 17x9 +40 and 245/45/ RE-71RS (which run wide) for auto cross.
Existing setup is 18x8.5 +35 and 245/40 Continental ECS 02'S. 17x9 245/45 is the same diameter for reference. Lowered on Whiteline Springs (-0.8 inch drop). I only rub on very...
Currently thinking about going with 245/45/17 RE71RS's. Down the line, to save on money, probably V730's, I've heard these have stiff sidewalls as well.
Me :p
Konig Ultragrams came in, I think these look really good. But, now I'm getting second thoughts as running a 255/40/17's in fronts and the 245/40/18's rears might make the reverse stagger look a bit goofy. (Imagine the front of the car pointing to the right).
EDIT:
I could run 245/45/17 fronts...
Looks beefy!
On my Whiteline RSB install, I crossthreaded my driver side RSB bracket. I was able to rethread it correctly, it's kinda gritty, but it torques down to spec. I dread the day I end up replacing the Whiteline RSB for something stiffer or back to OEM.
Let us know how that Karcepts...
Event from last weekend. Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02's work really well for a summer tire.
Already looking at some 200TW tire though. Planning on running reverse staggered to get the rear to rotate even more: Konig Ultragrams 17x9 +40 with RE-71RS 255/40 in fronts and keeping the...
The more and more I read and look, it's looking like I'm going with 17x9 +40's. I don't think I want to run -2 degrees front haha.
Similar to my plan as well. I was going to pick up 27Won BBK and these SuperSpeed RF05RR's can easily clear them. But I doubt I'd use the BBK to its fullest, and...
Do you recommend RPF1ās at 17x9 +35? You mentioned itās kinda tight but after looking at your pictures, that fitment is thicc and I like it.
At this point, itās either Konig Dekagrams at 17x9 +40 or Enkei RPF1ās at 17x9 +35. Ultragrams are also a contender but itās kinda at the bottom of the...
Not a lot of 18x9 options out there with the offset I'm looking for. 18x9 +40 would be nice. If I was going to go for 17's, I'd go 17x9 +40 as well.
Definitely looking at picking up some RE-71RS's soon.
Weekend events were pretty good. Learned that the rear tires love more tire pressure to get things dancing in the back. That said, anyone run a reversed staggered set up? Conti ECS02's are honestly really good, I was surprising myself and some other competitors with my times. However, if I want...
The Whiteline endlinks ended up loosening (literally my mistake) and I sheared off several threads. Decided to make it easy for myself and bought Accord endlinks. I used washers on both the endlink side and the nut side to even out the pressure of the nut.
Before anything, I took a look at...
I have less than 24,000 miles so š
Gunna try and sneak in another alignment tomorrow at a different shop and see if they can do me any better. Got two auto cross events this weekend so Iām hoping it works out.
Got the strut pins pulled, used Wunderladen Racing strut locks and went in for an alignment. Asked for -1.6 fronts and -1 rear. Ended up with -1.25 and -1.5 fronts, with -1.25 and -1.10. The -1.5 front Iām happy about, the -1.25 frontā¦ not so much.
Not sure how normal alignment specs differ...
