Having a 10th gen Is Coupe, and a '17 EX-L Accord Coupe (V6 baby!), I see the 11th gen as an "Accord Lite" to split the bill for younger people who want a tad bit 'o performance (or minor mod capability), some decent capacity, and do not enormously care for a new Accord in any form.
....now if...
On Oct. 11th, I pinged Carvana (I'm in central Massachusetts) for Slimer, my 2017 EGP Si with 16,500 clean miles, and was offered $22,822.
CarMax offered $25,600. I paid $22,500 or so for the car back in Feb of 2018.....I love the Slimer but that is a profit not to easily shy away lightly. At...
I stayed in stock Ds and GS for about 14 years, as I had enough trouble learning to drive well in stock, let alone venturing into the ST, SP crowds! Plus, the only money I needed to really spend was on good tires....oh, and extra rims, oh, and harnesses, oh, a good helmet, oh, and travel...
Famous last words.
Ive been out of Solo for a few years, but back when I was actively competing in the North East, "rules" were a big thing, as the classing, the cars, and the drivers on many levels (even Novices), were very competitive (at least in SCCA events). True, less an issue at some...
For me, definitely the NSX. I do appreciate the other options, I simply find the Acura more āinterestingā of a car.
Extra credit: or buy 6 S2000ās....
Congrats!....wife and I love our '16 EGP Si. Most people don't know what to make of it, and thats OK by us.
Your clean car reminds me to wash and wax ours, but since its 30 degrees, had sleet and freezing rain the past two days, and it's winter here in New England, methinks I'll wait until...
That must be Mark āThe Alienā Daddio you speak of...he was prepping a (I think white coupe) for his son? maybe 4 or 5 years ago (but could be longer). He has more National Championships in multiple classes than I have fingers (and probably adding on a few toes, too).
63 here. The Si reminds me of the fun I had flogging my Neon ACR for 12 years or so on the Solo circuits (but more comfy for the wife, too). I was looking for a Focus ST over a year ago, but no dealer had any around, and when the odd one was on a lot, they were not interested in negotiating...
Old geezer here (63), slightly pudgy, bit of shoulder bursitis, some lower back pain (discs corroding), all made better with aspirin: I will say, Iāve done a few 3 hour trips in my Si and itās been very comfortable for this bag of bones.
Our Si is great...around town is mid-30's average. It is VERY dependent on the right foot fun factor. I can go as low as 25-27 and sprint like heck all day, or moderate the foot and it runs around 36-38mpg. (Often left in normal mode)
I use the Mass Pike often, and my 180 mile round trip got me...
I know most of you have all heard this one before, but I just spent 5 minutes looking for the darn PS reservoir, before it dawned on me, Ed you old fool, there isn't one....
See, this is what happens when you get past middle age, and skip a few generations of car technology in your life!
For the wheels I start with an application of Meguiars Tech Wax, easy to apply and buff off. I always do a detail wipe (name your product as it doesn't matter that much for in-between detailing) or another wax application of them maybe every other wash, so at least the wheels are easy to...
