  1. 2019 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback 6 spd manual - Horn upgrade

What he said....plenty of UTube vids to show you how to do it yourself....in the time it takes to have a lunch.
  2. How are our 10th gen Si owners feeling now?

Having a 10th gen Is Coupe, and a '17 EX-L Accord Coupe (V6 baby!), I see the 11th gen as an "Accord Lite" to split the bill for younger people who want a tad bit 'o performance (or minor mod capability), some decent capacity, and do not enormously care for a new Accord in any form. ....now if...
  3. Carvana offer lol

On Oct. 11th, I pinged Carvana (I'm in central Massachusetts) for Slimer, my 2017 EGP Si with 16,500 clean miles, and was offered $22,822. CarMax offered $25,600. I paid $22,500 or so for the car back in Feb of 2018.....I love the Slimer but that is a profit not to easily shy away lightly. At...
  4. What Year, Trim, and miles do you currently have on your Civic?

2017 Si Coupe, EGP, 12,800 miles
  5. Civic Si in GS

I stayed in stock Ds and GS for about 14 years, as I had enough trouble learning to drive well in stock, let alone venturing into the ST, SP crowds! Plus, the only money I needed to really spend was on good tires....oh, and extra rims, oh, and harnesses, oh, a good helmet, oh, and travel...
  6. Civic Si in GS

Famous last words. Ive been out of Solo for a few years, but back when I was actively competing in the North East, "rules" were a big thing, as the classing, the cars, and the drivers on many levels (even Novices), were very competitive (at least in SCCA events). True, less an issue at some...
  7. If you had ~$160,000 to spend on a new car, would you buy an Acura NSX?

For me, definitely the NSX. I do appreciate the other options, I simply find the Acura more ā€œinterestingā€ of a car. Extra credit: or buy 6 S2000ā€™s....
  8. Official ENERGY GREEN Civic Thread

Congrats!....wife and I love our '16 EGP Si. Most people don't know what to make of it, and thats OK by us. Your clean car reminds me to wash and wax ours, but since its 30 degrees, had sleet and freezing rain the past two days, and it's winter here in New England, methinks I'll wait until...
  9. How are Si Goodyears in the winter here?

5 words: Itā€™s New England; get snowtires.
  10. New Here? Introduce Yourself!

Yeah for western Mass! (Although Iā€™m in central MA)
  11. SI an old Geeezer car

That must be Mark ā€œThe Alienā€ Daddio you speak of...he was prepping a (I think white coupe) for his son? maybe 4 or 5 years ago (but could be longer). He has more National Championships in multiple classes than I have fingers (and probably adding on a few toes, too).
  12. SI an old Geeezer car

63 here. The Si reminds me of the fun I had flogging my Neon ACR for 12 years or so on the Solo circuits (but more comfy for the wife, too). I was looking for a Focus ST over a year ago, but no dealer had any around, and when the odd one was on a lot, they were not interested in negotiating...
  13. Surprisingly awesome road trip vehicle

Old geezer here (63), slightly pudgy, bit of shoulder bursitis, some lower back pain (discs corroding), all made better with aspirin: I will say, Iā€™ve done a few 3 hour trips in my Si and itā€™s been very comfortable for this bag of bones.
  14. What dealer?

Lundgren Honda in Auburn, Mass...Bought both our ā€˜17 Si and ā€˜17 Accord V6 Coupe there.
  15. Used Si on the lot...

Just saw Lundgren Honda (Auburn, MA) post a YouTube vid of a 2017 Si Coupe they have for sale. EGP, 5415 miles. Price unknown.
  16. Civic Type R 2018 SCCA National Solo DS & DSL Champs!

Congatulations ! And the Si takes both GS (Lance Keeley) and GSL (local driver "You go girl!" Barb Seeger) Well done to all.
  17. What's your MPG?

Our Si is great...around town is mid-30's average. It is VERY dependent on the right foot fun factor. I can go as low as 25-27 and sprint like heck all day, or moderate the foot and it runs around 36-38mpg. (Often left in normal mode) I use the Mass Pike often, and my 180 mile round trip got me...
  18. Civic Si in GS

    Go, Go, Go, Barbara!
  19. The illusive Power Steering reservoir

I know most of you have all heard this one before, but I just spent 5 minutes looking for the darn PS reservoir, before it dawned on me, Ed you old fool, there isn't one.... See, this is what happens when you get past middle age, and skip a few generations of car technology in your life!
  20. Does anybody actually like the stock wheels?

For the wheels I start with an application of Meguiars Tech Wax, easy to apply and buff off. I always do a detail wipe (name your product as it doesn't matter that much for in-between detailing) or another wax application of them maybe every other wash, so at least the wheels are easy to...
