With the success of our Sport Wheel Chrome Delete Kit for the 10th generation Honda Accord, I had received many requests to make a kit for the Civic Sport wheel. Well, here it is.
I posted a tutorial for installing the window trim chrome delete kit. I know it's a Honda Accord but the installation is 99 percent the same.
This also gives you a close up view of what glossy black looks like on a Honda.
Upon several requests, we have posted an instructional on installing our Civic Sedan/Civic Coupe front grill Chrome Delete Kit. Sorry if you don't care for the background music. You can always use the volume control.
Subaru uses the same vinyl on its WRX and I'm pretty sure they intend for it to last a lot longer than 2 years. I don't see any danger in glue residue until maybe 10 years down the road.
Sorry for being out of the loop but I've been extremely busy. On top of that, I came back to check on PM's and found I had been blocked for unauthorized spamming but after notifying the administrator that I was a paying sponsor, everything was resolved.
Thanks for the review. People are always nervous in the beginning but once your confidence sets in, it becomes a breeze. Thanks for bringing up the fact that you should try not to stretch the material too much. You will end up deficient on the top and bottom if you do. If you peel back and feel...
This is what it looks like on an Accord. The pattern isn't obvious until you come up closer but it does have a high tech look. It's new on the market. I have the patterns to make them for a Civic Sedan as well.
Avery makes this new patterned vinyl that caught my eye. I think carbon fiber has been done to death so I was just waiting a new techy pattern to appear. They call this the Matrix. Here is the ebay link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/263711212919
I could do it for you. If you order it, just send me a message that you want it in silver. I am only doing this because I'm curious how it will look. I really don't want to get into color matching every stock Civic color.
This is a 2017 Civic Touring Edition that we chrome deleted the grill, mirrors and door handles. We also wrapped the roof in gloss black. I will be posting a tutorial on chrome deleting the front grill soon.
I had a bad feeling about sending four kits to a buyer in China. Now someone in China is selling a very similar kit, but in carbon fiber vinyl. It’s about $20 cheaper but the vinyl is listed as unbranded. There is very inexpensive vinyl being sold out of China but I steer clear of it because...
Someone buying on eBay told me that he learned about the product on a Youtube channel called 801 Garage. He installs it wet, which I've never done before but with no negative repercussions.
I think I'll buy a Honda brand rain guard for a Civic Coupe, Sedan and Hatchback, make patterns from them, and then sell them already Chrome Deleted. I'll probably sell them for what I bought them for and they'll already be black. Think I'll find buyers for them here on this forum?
I'm thinking about making a chrome delete kit to accomodate the Civic Sedan/Civic Hatchback rainguards. Is the Honda brand rain guards the ones that most of you purchase? Is it black already or does it have chrome like the one on this Honda Accord 9th Gen sedan?
Those are track marks from my plotter when cutting the material. The material is resilient so they should disappear when they get a got heating up from the sun. I remember seeing those on some installs we did and we couldn't find them on the car after it was in the sun for a while.
