Those just attach over top of the chrome garnish. So it wouldn't look right on Type-R with inline LED headlights. You would essentially still see both turn signals.
What did you end up doing (or paying) to get it removed?
I'm going to be doing mine here shortly, and this is the only thing I fear about the install.
I plan to soak mine in PB blaster for at least a couple hours while I'm doing the intercooler install.
Man, I obviously don't know how to upload pictures properly.
What's the best method?
I dragged and dropped onto post, and then placed where I needed them for the write up, but it's like they all got duplicated after the post.
So I will walk through my process.
Here is a list of items I bought from Amazon:
The Ebay Tank + Pump from China--It was the only one that would fit in the engine bay in this location.
I did have plans to use an OEM switch and make it illuminated with a custom intercooler icon. But it...
So this really isn't going to solve overheating issues, as the main problem is with the oil temps. This would be beneficial in traffic though, and probably AutoX.
Below is the wire diagram that I created. Tested and worked great. I'll upload photos here shortly, along with some main take-away...
I have already experimented with this. I have everything set up. But there is no space in the engine bay. I have wire diagram and parts list and everything already documented. But the only space is mounted on passenger side fire wall (where oil catch cans are mounted and flex fuel are mounted.)...
I don't even know how you could create a custom PID to give ethanol reading.. but I guess if you know the method then go for it. Usually those apps don't give you enough control to do something like that. Really it's pretty straight forward. Hondata takes voltage readings from ECT 2. 0.4V-->4.8...
Yeah I bought one from Amazon (different model). It's not worth it. Pretty much all the useful information cannot be displayed. Intake Air Temp, Water Temp, Oil Temp (we don't have). Mine did read Boost but we have a dedicated display for that so it's also not so useful. All the good stuff is...
Yeah I'm not even close to VP lol.. our manager has been here for 18 years now, then there is Senior Manager, then Division Director, then VP of electrical, then executive VP, then president over North America, then President over Global...
The corporate latter is brutal..
I do often dream of...
Your occupation tag under your profile is too real for me haha. Sometimes I attend meetings and think to myself, I wonder if they know that I have no idea what they are talking about. It's only when we start talking mechanical items that I realize they are just as oblivious to my side of the...
People have this issue without the FP, most have mentioned it has happened when the car isn't completely warm (no not just the water temp). If oil isn't warm, this can happen. Sometimes it can take 20min or so of driving to get your oil to temp.
That's a machined finish, so there is no real "paint" that will match it. They have some at autozone/amazon that say "machine finish", but my opinion is that they are not very good. They do make a quick steel, as I used that is is supposed to be a metal finish. It would probably get your closer...
Yeah I don't have a catch can installed there, I've got something else that I am working on that definitely cannot be moved anywhere else. It really looks like you could mount directly to fuel line protection bracket (the one they take off). I'd like to be able to run the catch can + Flex Fuel...
