well i had a 2017 accord hybrid ex-l which i currently use as my daily and i love it i average 44 MPG. but i got a 2018 pilot ex-l AWD as part of the deal during the trade of my type R for the wife. I think i am leaning toward getting either a tacoma or a wrangler as my fun car to go off roading...
My work location changed and I went from driving 20 miles in 30 min to 40 miles in an hour and 45 min (each way) so I wasn’t really enjoying the car as I wanted and I got offered 34k for it so I thought it was a sound decision to sell. I miss it and glad I got to experience it.
i had and sold my Type R, I loved it and loved everything about it.
many things i loved about it but here are some of what i loved about it.
- cheap rare car ( in comparison to cars under 40k) and yes you can get them for sticker.
- great mpg for a performance car i averaged 28 over 8000...
It’s not the distance that made me sell it, it’s the duration it takes me to drive 20 miles. As I stated before 20 miles in 1 hour and 45 minutes is not enjoyable in a type R.
I honestly don’t see how this is hard to understand or why I would need to make up a story?? I don’t owe you anything but I am just sharing just in case anyone is interested in selling their R. I did not lose my taxes cause they covered the pilots taxes. Also I have been noticing more Rs being...
I know it might seem like my wife pushed me into doing this but honestly she had no idea and was more upset than I was at the dealership for seeing the type R leave , she still doesn’t want to drive the pilot and is telling me that I shouldn’t have sold it but I couldn’t see my type R stuck in...
Well, to answer all your questions I do own a 2017 accord hybrid which is a great car so I took that from my wife to drive to work and gave her the pilot, also I sold the R because my commute is mainly me stuck in traffic so I couldn’t really enjoy the car and also the offer was too good to...
I sold my Type-R , I had 7895 miles on it when i took it in. I loved the car while i had it but due to recent change in work location (much further commute) I was forced to sell it. I was amazed to sell it for 34k and i bought it at sticker and had it for 9 month. I was not expecting it to hold...
I didn’t experience that, however this car heats up more than any car I ever had. Whenever I pop the hood after even a short drive I notice extreme heat. Keep in mind this isn’t my first performance car I had cameo as 1 le and another SS and I never noticed similar heat. I guess what I am trying...
honestly based on all the comments i read it seems as if we are forgetting what we are comparing lap times of a 35k car with much more expensive cars. I agree we all believe the Type R is special but its also on a budget and for the price its a hell of a car. Its a fast car for the average...
I would recommend the type R , I don’t push mine that often but it’s actually a fun car even to drive at low speeds. I agree with you on changing the wheels and tires. My car became easier to live with after I put on 18s. I would say stay away from Ford mainly due to reliability and loss of value.
