  1. Anyone running an HKS Spec L? Anyone??

You would probably run into rasp either way, because of the aftermarket downpipe. Just buy a vibrant ultra quiet resonator and have a shop weld it on. Fair warning though, the spec L will not be loud. In your case it might bring the output similar to what it would have sounded like with the OE...
  2. Anyone running an HKS Spec L? Anyone??

Ah okay yea a secondary resonator should help reduce/remove the rasp. I didn’t think catted downpipes would add rasp like that. I’ll see if I can post a video
  3. Anyone running an HKS Spec L? Anyone??

Wrong with what? only reason for adding the resonator was to remove the rasp from the catless downpipe. It did also quiet the sound
  4. Anyone running an HKS Spec L? Anyone??

Spec L is a great choice. Unfortunately the engine note catless isn’t great. I’ve yet to hear a good bolt on system, catted or catless. Now that I added a Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator to it, the sound is perfect. Deep and smooth with factory like drone throughout the entire RPM range. has...
  5. Civic Type R After-market Wheel Guide

    Yea it’s stock height
  6. Anyone running an HKS Spec L? Anyone??

I’m still happy running mine with a catless downpipe and frontpipe setup. However I will be getting a second resonator to dial in the note. Report back soon...

  8. Mods that will improve longevity but not increase performance

Turbo blanket Inlet pipe blanket Intercooler (PRL using stock pipes) Oil cooler Mishimoto Secondary radiator Vented hood Grille with larger opening —————— Lighter wheels = better acceleration and braking Smaller wheels=cheaper tires —————— Good fluids I.e. brake fluid, engine oil, and...
  9. Oil Catch Can: Mishimoto v. Radium Engineering

Haven’t tried JLT but I’m sure it does the job too. I know there are those who make their own kits. I’ve only had experience with mishi and radium so I know they held up just fine. The CCV side doesn’t catch much of anything, but I haven’t tracked it since I installed it either. For mine I...
  10. Oil Catch Can: Mishimoto v. Radium Engineering

The radium requires a little more assembly. But otherwise yes same install. The radium hose is super stiff. I’ve installed three radium ones. Hose is stiff every time lol Once they are installed they serve the same function.
  11. Oil Catch Can: Mishimoto v. Radium Engineering

Mishi is a way simpler install I had Mishi but got the Radium combo for both PCV and CCV. Whichever one you get does the job. I can’t stress the install enough though lol for another owner we gave up using the hose supplied by Radium due to its stiffness and bought some from an auto parts store...
  12. HKS Downpipe/Front pipe combo

The stock exhaust does a good job on keeping the tone in check. You will experience slightly more drone and maybe some resonance around 2.5-3k (based on my experience using a PRL catless combo; oddly enough it didn’t sound much louder. I have my stuff wrapped haven’t had any issues. Back then I...
  13. ACUITY Prototype 10th-gen Shifter - My review

I don’t think think adjust the gate spacing will help, but I would verify everything is tightened up.
  14. ACUITY Prototype 10th-gen Shifter - My review

Did it improve? When I shift 2 to 3 I actually let the shifter center itself. I don’t recall having that noise issue. What’s your gate spacing set at?
  15. ACUITY Prototype 10th-gen Shifter - My review

@MuffinMcFluffin the noise you have seems normal, but I wonder if using that shift knob (which is pretty heavy) makes the sound more pronounced. In addition a taller knob height is set to the more force it will see when the lever snaps back. I have experienced any excessive noise, but I’ve been...
  16. Question about Supporting mods

Shifter cable bushings along with the shifter. Turbo blanket I would suggest a different motor mount, though to each is their own
  17. CTR wing removal / deletion solution

Just go black for the stealthy look and leave the wing on
  18. Refreshed 2020 Civic Type R, here it is!

I have a 18 and the 20 has a few cool upgrades. Honda sensing would be awesome for road trips, fortunately we will be buying another car for with all the new safety features. The R doesn’t get driven that much daily to appreciate it. If I wasn’t so invested in mine, I would consider trading it...
  19. Dyno Tuned with Flashpro for a safe tune.

Interesting, I came from Ktuner multistage and stock tune (briefly). Car feels better smoother all throughout with no hesitations. I am using PRL catless DP & FP, Spec L, Mishimoto intercooler & pipes, and PRL stage 1 intake.
  20. Dyno Tuned with Flashpro for a safe tune.

Curve looks good! A little odd about the Starting RPM, who knows. The shape similar to my recent custom tune. We also have similar bolt ons. Worlds of difference in how the car feels after. I went in with the mindset of just having optimized reliable power.
