I believe they won't for a simple oil change and "Multi-Point Inspection" of the car... but you never know? Perhaps they'd check for updates while they're at it.
Hello all.
I'm aware that it's best to flash back to Factory Mode back on our K-Tuner V2 before going to the dealership... however, should we also unlock the unit as well?
I only flashed back to Factory but didn't unlock because I think it will clear my whole Tune presets and don't want to...
That's fair enough of an estimation. Sound about right... and it makes me think how much I'm saving on gas when I'm driving on Map 3 ECO mode 95% of the time -- then toggle ECO off when I need to fly through traffic on the highway.
Great post.
I've finally decided to flash back to the aggressive Dual 21 Starter tune because the TSP Stage 1 really feels like I'm on a factory tune when I'm driving under 30 mph. I'll flash back to TSP Stage 1 tune when it starts snowing in the North East. Still a good tune nonetheless.
Yeah but that doesn't really tell us what's going on under ECO mode vs Normal Mode for Map 1. It's a little confusing for me to decipher as I'm new to this. Please be gentle, Lol.
And what would the custom boost levels be in this tune? 21 PSI? Seems to me like some settings are still...
May I ask where you're getting this information? I'd like to see it for myself and understand it piece by piece. Not entirely sure whether or not map 3 is the most powerful map. I'd like to know what's set for ECO under each map.
It's a shame that the important quick adjustments are locked (alongside early spool option)... Makes me wonder what else we could achieve. I'm confused about what mode is on when ECO mode is enabled... Is it factory eco?
I just started using the TSP Starter 1 tune a couple days ago and I couldn't agree anymore. It's not necessarily a bad tune... it just feels VERY dampened when you're taking off however there's an amazing push of power when you decide to take off from 30 to 60 or.. 80 lol. I'd say it's less...
Fair enough.
Had to ask since I've read something elsewhere about the Ramp Rate options affecting MPG. It makes me think, what else could there be regardless of a driver's vehicle operating method.
Very good explanation.
I replicated your quick adjustments onto the Starter Dual 21 tune and... oh boy... what a difference! However, I didn't enable Early Spool. I'm assuming you did so as I'm interpreting what you've mentioned by combining it? If so, anything I should watch out for (risks)...
Regarding the Ramp Rate options... what is it exactly so that I can notice the differences as I'm driving? Also, for the default Starter Dual 21 tune -> Quick Adjustments -> Tune 1/2/3 Target - Normal options, is the "Custom Boost Level" basically 21 PSI?
Great explanation.
I wish there was a sticky thread elaborating on every single Quick Adjustment option for novice users like me. I have more questions regarding the Throttle Responsiveness & Boost Target options (in layman's terms) but I don't want to be an annoyance. You should contribute to...
Forgot to ask about the top 3 settings you have--especially Throttle Responsiveness and ECO Button. You changed ECO from Factory ECO Control to ECO On Normalized Throttle (there's also /ECO Off Sport+ available but I'm not sure what that means). Could you please decipher that?
This is fantastic! Thank you!
Makes me wonder whether the locked Stage 0/1/2 have different presets for on the fly switching. Also, when you purchase the TSP tune, how is it received digitally? Makes me curious whether the makers are losing profit due to their tune getting pirated if possible...
gtman, you are the man! My mind is less confused now! Seriously!
I saw an earlier post regarding the commuter tune so I think I will do the same. I suppose it will consists of just changing the 2 & 3 quick adjustments to something like 18psi & 16psi respectively while leaving the 1st quick...
