Have also had this issue a few times, except then later when approach I the car to unlock by putting my hand in the handle nothing happens and I have to manually unlock. It eventually fixes itself and all is well until it happens again.

So you're not having any issues with the crossover sending only mid range frequencies to the two-way speaker with a built in tweeter? And if these are 2 ohm with a high sensitivity they must be really loud (though probably not very bassy).
