I was shocked how much the cold weather affects my car. I drive 60 miles of highway daily. Bought my car at the end of November and have experienced nothing but this cold weather since. It warmed up one day and I got right on the highway after filling up. My car's mpg shot from the usual 30-32...
Took my car through the car wash (yeah, whatever, ill detail it myself when it isn't freezing, have to get the salt off). I had two different soccer moms chat me up about how nice the car is while waiting. I always knew the civic was a chick magnet.
Yeah, I do. Its only during the first moments of driving tho. To me, I assumed it was rust buildup on the rotors, especially with all this shitty snowy and rainy weather we've been getting in Philly. Once the car gets warmed up and I've used the brakes a bit, I don't notice it anymore.
That only makes sense tho. They're technically buying the car from you so they have to pay the taxes on their purchase. Then your buying a car from them, so you need to pay those taxes on the new car. The amount of taxes opposite the difference of the two will simply cancel by nature of the math.

There are so many examples it makes you wonder how we travel anywhere safely. A dashcam is an easy investment decision. Definitely recommended.
I still get some jerking tho. Not sure which padding setting is best. It's a bit ambiguous the names and the description on the site doesn't help. Don't really feel like flashing thru every setting at the moment. My previous car was a bit violent so it's no worries, just trying to lay back and...
Maybe me? I literally just did rev hang delete, moved throttle response up one and set the padding so the car doesn't completely jerk from the rev hang delete. I'm fine with the Si's power, just wanted a bit better driving experience.
I believe that's one of the reasons why they are more willing to perform the recall. Car is new to the market, relatively small amount in production, fix em quickly, keep reputation high and hopefully people are more likely to buy one down the line.
My 2009 Si had the same problem. The 8th gen civic was notorious for it. The clear coat was cheap, not done properly or whatever it was. Sometimes I'll see one drive by and notice still the same ol' issue with the roof paint and remember the horrible feeling of maintaining your car but the paint...
Nice write-up. Interesting tho, I just installed mine and def has to trim two tabs. So certainly be careful to anyone ordering to which part number you get. Mine was still easy to install regardless. You just have that one extra step.
I understand what you're saying but I bought an Si after looking at the WRX and ST. More to cars than just power. I came from owning a Hyundai. I definitely would have entertained the idea of the Veloster n if it was on the market when I was shopping.
I share similar thoughts. I drove a 3.8 genesis coupe for 4 years and just traded it in for my Si. I would take the Si any day. The overall drivability and just all the little things put into the infamous Honda quality just make it such a better experience. I don't even miss the extra horse...
Do you use a lot of armor all or products to clean your interior? The vapors from a lot of this stuff tends to cling onto the windows and promote smears/fog
