    The only thing I see depicted is a normal shift lever and a damaged one, there's no possible way you would have even been able to put the lock nut on in the first place if they were different thread sets. I can't tell if you're trolling or not, seriously

    This post was created to get people spun up about a problem that doesn't really exist. The pic referenced obviously shows stripped threads, Honda has used the same design for decades, it would be counterproductive to change anything unless you're purposely trying to confuse someone.

    I actually found a black screw at ACE hardware that was slightly longer than the OEM screw and it worked perfectly

    It's not a screw that they supply in the kit, it'a an OEM screw that is reused
