Did some more troubleshooting on this. Discovered it's not Carplay-related because it happened even in another car just using a normal aux input. But today I tried turning off location services completely, and the pausing didn't happen at all. So it's definitely location-related. I'll keep...
iPhone 7 here - since updating to 10.1, my CarPlay playback pauses randomly while driving. It doesn't matter what I'm doing - I've had it pause Podcasts, Music, and even 3rd party apps (NFL Mobile). It seems to pause every single time about 60 seconds after I start driving. Then it seems to...
Anyone else ever figure this out? It'll be time for my oil change soon, so I figured I'd ask the dealer. Kinda doubt they'll know what I'm talking about, though.
I did confirm that my unplayable podcasts DO play using the Overcast app. It works just as well, although I've noticed not all of my podcasts are in the Overcast directory, which is lame. I still use the native app when possible but will switch over to Overcast to hear my trouble-podcasts. Still...
Not where I expected this story to go, but what a nice ending! Good on you for how you handled this. It is somewhat troubling that the dealership didn't look deeper into their own mistake before issuing a very disturbing "return car immediately" notice, though. Either way, at least it's settled now.
I've seen mentioned in another thread how CarPlay doesn't seem to be able to play certain podcast series. You can pull them up, and it acts like it's playing, but there's no sound. I've run into this with two different series. My others seem to work fine. Things also work fine if you listen via...
This is an awesome idea! As much as I love Carplay, it is a hassle fumbling for the cord every time I get in. Looks so much easier just popping it on the dock. Thanks for posting!
Thanks, reading through other threads I just realized a "restart" was actually a thing (hold down the power button). I'll try that.
Also, this probably should have gone in the Issues forum - sorry for that.
Has anyone else noticed Bluetooth audio cutting in and out pretty badly on their Civic? I've got an EX-L; most of the time I use Carplay which works fine, but occasionally I just use Bluetooth audio when I'm too lazy to plug the phone in. Whenever I do that, I notice the audio cuts out or skips...
I had the same experience the first time I started mine from my work area inside my office. Totally didn't expect it to reach, but sure enough, walked outside in the freezing cold a few minutes later, and it was on. So nice.
It was $26,200 after taxes. I also realized I forgot to include my county tax, which brings it to 9.875% (we have no income tax, so there's that). I've edited the original post.
Got a Cosmic Blue EX-L (no sensing/no nav) for $23,900 OTD excluding taxes (TN tax rate is 9.875% in my county so total was about $26,200). After reading through this thread, seems like it was a pretty bad deal for me, but other than waiting out another 2-3 months (which I'm not sure my old car...
