  1. A/C gurgling?

The ac issue is why I no longer have my civic. 4th repair and it was making the sounds again. Warranty was dwindling down and we buy any car dot com bought my 17 civic touring for 4k less than I bought it for. So I ducked out of the civic to a CR-V sport touring. Hopefully honda has figured out...
  2. Sound system bass is actually good?

Having come from a 2017 Civic Touring, and now having a 2023 CRV Sport Touring with the Bose 12 speakers system, I can honestly say the Civic premium sound system sucked. Also I went from a Acura TSX to the Civic so I was super disappointed in the premium system to begin with. Specific notes...
  3. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Having driven it I can't get over how it drives, and the bose 12 speaker system was pretty sweet too, the Civic's stereo is pretty blah. Looking forward to it for sure. :)
  4. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Sold it. Was a nice run, but after 5 years, 7 A/C repairs and it's leaking again, I'm out of warranty and I'm just done having to think about the A/C costs without a warranty. So 5 years 80K I would have loved to have kept this car, was very good otherwise. I'm going to try my luck with a 2023...
  5. Check System Message

Per your owners manual: basically you might have a bad new battery, it happens.
  6. Saved myself 100's of $$ today (dry rotted door moldings)

Just wondering you mentioned how there are plastic clips that you figured out how to release, mind sharing how they are released? Mine are also rotting away. quality materials Honda is using these days....
  7. 1 thing you hate about your 10th gen civic?

As my AC system looses refrigerant (this will be the 5th time I've had to take it to the dealer...) the defrosting ability decreases as the sound of hissing increases when the A/C is on. I HATE THE AC system. On my third condenser, second compressor. Last visit I went to a different dealer...
  8. Overfilled oil

guess time will tell if there are suddenly oil leaks. It sounds perfectly fine running. But 1.3 quarts over is pretty excessive.
  9. Overfilled oil

An entire oil change. so from 100% oil life down to 10%. Probably around 7-8k.
  10. Overfilled oil

nope was a local shop, some guy named Raul is the "tech"
  11. Overfilled oil

So my friend from work needed her oil changed. After the last change at a local shop (see photo with my explanation for her to go back to the moron and complain) she smartly didn’t go back for this oil change and asked for my assistance. So I changed the oil, and was surprised that the oil...
  12. I'm pissed

THIS!!! My Friend at work had her oil changed, same problem, the whole cover was dragging, so she takes it back to the guy.... fast forward to her next oil change, she came to my house.... this is how these tools "fixed" it. Sorry for the drawings, this is what I sent her back to the shop with...
  13. I must be the unluckiest gen10 owner

I went through 4 "Honda" batteries all replaced under warranty in 3 years, after coming out to a dead battery again I went to Sam's club and bought a Duracell battery. Two years now, same Duracell battery and 0 issues. Whoever is making batteries for Honda should really stop.
  14. 2019 Civic Sedan 2.0 Liter CVT Fluid Change - Anyone Tried This?

I have a simple hand pump, and then just refill through the level fill bolt, why would you even mess around with the rubber fill plug on the top? You'd need to remove the check bolt anyhow to be sure it's filled to the correct level anyhow. this works perfectly...
  15. 2018 Honda civic Dealership Inspection said Front and Rear brakes are binding, and Rear L/R shock is leaking

2017 Touring here, Original Brakes original shocks 79,000 miles. And while it didn't sit for a full year, it sat for weeks at a time during the pandemic. There is a trick sneaky service people do with dripping a little oil around the shock and saying look it's leaking. Do you have handling...
  16. ECON mode effect on AC

The Econ mode changes the AC by raising the target temperature of the evaporator which should reduce the load on the Compressor, since it can run at reduced capacity. It also lowers the fan speed to move less volume to also save energy, I would think on the highway it would make a slight...
  17. Civic Touring badge position

hope this helps, 2017 Touring sedan.
  18. Oil life is at %20

That’s making an assumption but the way it’s written it does seem that they list them as separately monitored systems.
