  1. This is the worst car I have ever bought.

I didn't know. I thought your SI would come with ACC with no LSF because yeah, I knew the new Accord MT would have ACC with no LSF. But then again you mentioned, you'd rather have Honda mature the technology until you get on board and I might become one of the guinea pigs for Honda.
  2. This is the worst car I have ever bought.

Just noticed you have a SI so ACC with no LSF as well. Can manuals really be programmed to do LSF and shift gears? Our 16 RAV4 Hybrid comes with Toyota Safety Sense and so far the ACC (no LSF) has been quite reliable. For AEB, I just set it to the lowest sensitivity and so far it only braked...
  3. This is the worst car I have ever bought.

I don't need them but they're nice to have. You shouldn't even be driving a car because you can walk or bike, correct? Or even use your cellphone because there are still landlines around? Must be lovely to have a pompous frick like you around the house. :) Mind your own business if you have...
  4. 2018 Civic vs Larger 2018 Civic (Accord)

So this lighter weight, shorter wheel base advantage is more evident in RWD/AWD vehicles?
  5. 2018 Civic vs Larger 2018 Civic (Accord)

Why are smaller cars usually more fun to drive besides weighing a little bit less? People do often mention tossability? https://www.cars.com/articles/whats-the-most-fun-to-drive-compact-sedan-1420695243415/ Isn't the shorter wheelbase a negative resulting in less comfort and sure-footedness...
  6. This is the worst car I have ever bought.

No wonder when I'm checking the used inventory on honda.ca, there are so many 2016's for sale. If the earliest came out in September 2015, they aren't even three years old yet and still within the factory warranty. I'll keep that in mind. Same with the Accords, 2008/9 were most problematic...
  7. 2016 Civic 1.5L Turbo Surges at Highway Speeds (45–70 MPH) S.B. #16-028

Any '17 owners experiencing this issue or is this related to first few '16 batches?
  8. This is the worst car I have ever bought.

OP, did you get your 17 brand new or used? Weren't most issues resolved in the later '16 batches? Sorry to hear about those issues and like others have said, those issues will not have appeared on your previous cars because they didn't even have those features back then.
  9. How a Civic start at -13F / -25 C ?

I just had a block heater installed at the nearest Honda dealership. And this is on an 11 Accord. I also trickle charge my two cars with my Battery Tender Juniors. Doesn't hurt to perform preventative maintenance especially when the batteries are 2-3 years old, like most of your 2016's.
  10. [Canada] 2018 Honda Civic SE now available; does this portend a big refresh for 2019?

Build page included SE now. Not as compelling with EX starting at $25,817.50 so just a $1,600 difference/savings. https://www.honda.ca/civic20 https://www.honda.ca/civic_sedan/specs Advantages over EX Deck lid spoiler Leather-wrapped steering wheel Disadvantages to the EX One-touch power...
  11. Owner comparison - 10th ex-t sensing vs. Lexus IS 200t F-sport

I was checking out the BMW 2 Series, Lexus IS and the A4 and surprisingly, only 2018+ 2 Series have ACC (no indication of stop and go). The 2017/18 A4 model with the ACC LSF will be almost twice as expensive as a Touring because you need to get the top trim and add the driver assistance package...
  12. [Car and Driver] 2016 Honda Civic Sedan Long-Term Road Test Wrap-Up

Have all the below complaints been fixed in the 2017 Civic? It's mostly infotainment issues and Honda Sensing. https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2016-honda-civic-sedan-long-term-test-review HIGHS Mighty yet miserly powertrain, engaging handling, worry-free reliability. LOWS Frustrating...
  13. Owner comparison - 10th ex-t sensing vs. Lexus IS 200t F-sport

I may be weird tpp. I am cross shopping (likely for next year) across different segments. I need auto, four doors, ACC, AEB and above average reliability and android auto / carplay would be great but it sounds like many people have issues with them in Honda's. 10th gen Civic Touring 10th gen...
  14. Adaptive Cruise (ACC) - How well does it REALLY work?

Good to know. Over on DriveAccord forum, someone told me that the 16/17 ACC were rougher and inferior to the one in the 2018 Accord (likely similar to the 10th gen Civic Honda Sensing), which is why I kinda wanted to know. I'll probably have to go over to the 9th gen Accord thread to find...
  15. ACC issue - CBMS/LKAS/ACC warnings when car ahead slows

Is VSA the electronic stability module that is the culprit for unsafe and un-intuitive deceleration? I too was looking for a use 2016 Touring to purchase eventually but...
  16. Adaptive Cruise (ACC) - How well does it REALLY work?

The ACC (with LSF) on the 10th gen civic should be better than the ACC (no LSF) on the 2016 and 17 Honda Accords correct? I wonder if the system in the 2018 Civics are identification to the ones in the 2018 Accord and if there really was any updates from the 2016/17 model years.
  17. 10th generation long term ownership and relialibity?

My Accord will be seven years old next month and although the only entry luxury car I've driven in the mid 90's was my dad's C280, I still think the Accord drives like new. Maybe it's not as fuel efficient as before (it never was anyway) or maybe there's been a 5% drop in power (got a recall on...
  18. 10th generation long term ownership and relialibity?

^ I have an 11 Accord coupe I4 5A/T bought new and no issues with the 5-speed auto. I'm only past 65k miles though but have extended warranty until close to the end of 2018. No judder but of course shifting will be perceivable. It's not going to be the smoothest transmission for sure.
  19. 2016 Civic Touring Heated Steering Wheel?

For me, the only things missing in the Civic that is available on the 2018 Accord that are kinda important are: Heated Steering Wheel (nice to have) Blind Spot Information (BSI) system with Rear Cross Traffic Monitor system (very helpful for those pulling into parking spots, I usually back into...
  20. Consumer Reports 2016 Reliability Rating

So except for the potential infotainment issues, all other issues on the 2016 can be fixed? I am thinking of going used this time (the EX-T and Touring already has ACC with LSF and the Honda Sensing suite), possibly a lease takeover (with mechanical inspection) because buying new has been...
