For those of you that have the Acuity shifter and tuned. I read a post that I would have to reflash due to disconnecting the battery during the shifter install.
Is this true or will all the lights go away after driving a while after driving awhile?
I appreciated everyone's opinions in this thread. I have finally spent the funds. My son suggested the exterior mods. List below.
Acuity Adjustable Short Shifter (MAPerformance)
Whiteline Sway Bar Alloy Lateral Locks (MAPerformance)
Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs (Unity Performance)
Perrin...
Update :
I have $1200 ready to spend.
I have decided not to do a downpipe and instead get a new/used Flex fuel kit, flex tune and suspension.
Updated shopping list. With various coupons from Maperformance I think I can get everything below, a tad over $1200.
PRL new/used: $450
Phearable Flex...
Update: On FB Market place I was able to locate a used 27WON FMIC and piping for $500 but after me asking the seller to take an updated pick with a hand written times stamp, he blocked me?
So now I'm back to re-thinking my next option. I really would like to get the RV6 DP and front-pipe...
Historically, what is the Black Friday price on the shifter?
Rear sway bar, what size is the recommended for daily use, 20mm or 22mm.
For the end links, I assume these are the correct ones?
If I am able to source a used intercooler and maybe charge pipes for say, $500 that would leave enough for a shifter and I could stretch the budget to include a stiffer rear sway bar and endlinks.
I'm not opposed to getting a shifter. Maybe is FOMO. Since the shifter gets used every day maybe...
Update: I'm leaning towards sourcing a used intercooler.
I've watched numerous videos about the Acuity short-shifter that was frequently recommended as what to purchase, and like many of you on here it comes highly recommended. The only suspect thing is that most if not all of the video, they...
Thank you for all the reply's so for, keep them coming.
Regarding a fully adjustable shifter and for those that have one, what makes it a must-have and a night-and-day difference? I think the stock one feels nice but I am intrigued.
Good questions.
I'm 47 and feel the same way as you.
Goal is simply have fun with the car.
Since this is my daily, I'm not looking for any mod that can take longer than a day to install.
I thought it would be interesting to gathering opinions on how to spend $1K.
Learn from others, what purchase one thought were good but ended up regretting? Must have for a daily, etc?
I have a 2017 Si that I daily since I bought new. I only have two mods which are below.
K-Tuner with...
Thanks for the replies. I'm a bit hesitant to get a downpipe as I don't want constant gurgles and the unknown is how the Phearable 1.5 tune would "sound".
I'll continue to do more research and ask around.
Hello,
I have a 2017 Si with 85K miles. Only mods are below.
K-Tuner v1.2 with Phearable 1.5 tune
PRL Cobra CAI w/race MAF
I'm interested in getting a catted 27WON downpipe and frontpipe combo. I'm 47 years old and I do not want any drone, raspiness, constant gurgles or a loud exhaust. Reason...
My AC went out my 2017 Si and called the stealership, they ran my VIN and apparently my VIN isn't part of this TSB. They will not do anything and I am not going to pay thier diagnostic so they can tell the compressor is bad too.
How are not all 2017 Civic's not included in this TSB?
