One thing to note when drying is the method... I have never dragged a cloth, microfiber or otherwise, across my panels. Hood, roof, trunk, door, front and rear fenders. Simply lay the towel on the paint and then allow the towel to absorb the water. Patting it as needed. 3 years in and...
Never used it... been waxing for 40 years and the best wax all around for me has been Fusso by soft99. Try the Kawami or King of Gloss. Both come with a Dark paint option.
Was just out for my weekly pandemic drive here on Long Island, NY to give the 2017 Sedan EX 2.0 some exercise. While descending long hill with my foot off the gas and in drive (D) the RPMs jumped up to 3K and stayed up there about 20 seconds until the car leveled out at the bottom of the hill...
Winter washing is indeed a rare event here in NY. I only do it in prep to complete wax later that day in the garage... makes it a worthwhile investment despite the pain... Has to be above 32 F regardless. ;)
What is the coldest weather you have washed your civic in? I've done some mid 30's washing recently with warm water in the bucket with success. Going to a drive thru car wash is not an option for obvious reasons...
I also recommend the Fusso Kawami. Looks great and lasts forever... Fusso King of Gloss is another option in their family of waxes. Great product for a decent price. Check out:

This wax will last thru the winter and keep on beading. Fusso makes a few types of wax so do a little research.
I drive my 2017 EX Civic appx 6K miles a year. The oil life indicator tells me it's time for a oil change at about 4K miles. I use Mobile One Synth oil (0-w20) which is rated for 10K miles. Should I ignore the life indicator and ride out the oil to about 8 or 9K in mileage? Or change the oil...
Success! The wrench above would have worked, although it was too big! The pipe wrench option worked fine... (Thanks https://www.civicx.com/members/dc2turbo.1954/)
Worst part of the whole process was removing the 8 screw protector plate from the undercarriage.
About to do a first time oil change on my 2017 Civic EX. Will this filter wrench (photo attached) work for me? The concern is I may not be able to get a grip n the filter with this type wench. I believe the filter is recessed, and the wench handle my prevent me from properly seating the wrench...
