There is no general rule. For example, I often get better gas mileage and much better response while in a lower gear, even if the shift light invites me to upshift. Sometimes I downshift to 5th gear even if I am driving over 130 km/h (80 mph) if I feel that the car is struggling. It depends on...
Just asking - did anyone hear about a failed Civic X engine? From what I understood, if the engine gets hot enough, the gasoline that leaked into the oil tends to evaporate, so for more spirited drivers, this shouldn't be a problem, as they heat up their engines faster. I own a small 1L Turbo...
You can give it a try... A friend of mine did it and the noise/knocking feeling disappeared on his car. He wanted to reply himself, but for some reason his account creation on this forum was not approved.
Interesting how all the reports came from China! Do they clone the Hondas? Do they use fake/poor quality gasoline? Why no such issue in the rest of the world? My car is over 15000 km and I had no issue. I changed oil first time at 9000 km. There may be some oil dilution in my engine (I guess...
Thanks for the link, but I'm afraid it's only for the US, because when I try to add my VIN code it says "Not a valid Honda vehicle VIN" and when I try to add my car by trim, I can only select US trims, like LX, EX. Here in Europe we have different trims and the cars are a bit different.
Thanks...
If the head unit doesn't have a dedicated sub-woofer output, I suppose you will have to change the head unit, or to install an additional amplifier to the existing one.
I own an European version of Civic, called Comfort. It has Honda Sensing, but it comes with the color display audio
I don't see the connection between Sensing and this particular HU. I would guess that the Phoenix HU would not interfere with Sensing in any way, is it?
Not sure how rear window heater would remove mud. I find myself turning the rear wiper quite often, I see no reason why somebody would just remove it! Why not just remove front wipers too, for improving the aerodynamics and the "looks" of the car a bit since we are at it?? :)
I stopped using it some time ago because the car felt sluggish and suprisingly the consumption was higher, as I live in a hilly city. I only turn it on during long trips on highways where it seems to lower the consumption a bit (less sudden acceleration with ACC in ECON)
There is none on Honda UK or Honda Romania and the US version of Civic X HB is quite different, so kudos to un hombre! This manual is exactly what I was looking for!
