There is no downside to custom tuning compared to a generic off-the-shelf tune in terms of proper operation of your setup.
Even the best generic tunes tend to leave something on the table in terms of power to account for the potential different operating conditions and fuel quality that one may...
By the looks of the curve, it looks like the system never makes enough boost to open the gate, or it opens right at the end of the test.
...Or is it missing a fire ring and was partially open the whole test?...
This is still certainly a worthwhile upgrade for anyone using a stock engine and the stock turbo (or an upgraded turbo) that wishes to use E85 straight from the pump and NOT deviate from traditionally-acceptable lambda targets at high load.
We know how the ECU works, and I have personally tuned thousands of these vehicles. I literally do this all day, every day.
If you don't want to believe me, fine. Good luck.
Ehhhhhh, I'm happy to post the actual email chain here if there's some questions about how our conversation went.
It's attached here for anyone to reference.
Nobody is above simple requirements. You wanted to do business, I have a certain set of requirements for such, and you were impatient...
Find the area in which there is knock stimulus present, and remove value from the ignition base table.
This is really, really basic tuning theory. If you're too lazy to do this, enjoy Hondata's junk.
The "problems" mentioned here can all literally be remedied by actually *tuning* the cars to suit the given operating conditions, you know...
There is nothing wrong with KTuner for the platform in terms of "knock control"; it works as intended. If you don't like seeing a rise on the value...
There's no "problem" on your log. The wastegate is open when the boost target is reached, and closed when it's not. It's doing exactly what it's supposed to do.
None of those modifications should be visible on the TSP1.
I do not recommend enabling this with TSP1. The tune has extra ignition built-in to work around the existing native control value rise behavior.
