  1. Tuning Help

There is no downside to custom tuning compared to a generic off-the-shelf tune in terms of proper operation of your setup. Even the best generic tunes tend to leave something on the table in terms of power to account for the potential different operating conditions and fuel quality that one may...
  2. Hondata 1.5 fuel system

This camshaft/injector combination works in KTuner, no problem, by the way. I've confirmed over the course of the last few weeks.
  3. Hondata 1.5 fuel system 388 hp dynojet results

The best thing you can do is stick a properly-sized turbocharger for the flow and displacement of the engine on it.
  4. Hondata 1.5 fuel system 388 hp dynojet results

By the looks of the curve, it looks like the system never makes enough boost to open the gate, or it opens right at the end of the test. ...Or is it missing a fire ring and was partially open the whole test?...
  5. Hondata 1.5 fuel system 388 hp dynojet results

Is this using the electronic actuator, a pneumatic actuator or an external gate?
  6. Hondata 1.5 fuel system 388 hp dynojet results

The peak power number is great.... But what kind of terrible turbo setup is it using? That curve screams "slow dyno queen."
  7. Hondata 1.5 fuel system

This is still certainly a worthwhile upgrade for anyone using a stock engine and the stock turbo (or an upgraded turbo) that wishes to use E85 straight from the pump and NOT deviate from traditionally-acceptable lambda targets at high load.
  8. Hondata 1.5 fuel system

    Who says it won't. :)
  9. Hondata 1.5 fuel system

That looks like a pretty nice upgrade.
  10. A Feedback for KTuner

We know how the ECU works, and I have personally tuned thousands of these vehicles. I literally do this all day, every day. If you don't want to believe me, fine. Good luck.
  11. Vargas GC turbo initial review

The turbo performs pretty well; I have nothing bad to say about that at all!
  12. Vargas GC turbo initial review

Ehhhhhh, I'm happy to post the actual email chain here if there's some questions about how our conversation went. It's attached here for anyone to reference. Nobody is above simple requirements. You wanted to do business, I have a certain set of requirements for such, and you were impatient...
  13. A Feedback for KTuner

Find the area in which there is knock stimulus present, and remove value from the ignition base table. This is really, really basic tuning theory. If you're too lazy to do this, enjoy Hondata's junk.
  14. A Feedback for KTuner

The "problems" mentioned here can all literally be remedied by actually *tuning* the cars to suit the given operating conditions, you know... There is nothing wrong with KTuner for the platform in terms of "knock control"; it works as intended. If you don't like seeing a rise on the value...
  15. Switching from KTuner

You mean like you guys do on numerous ECU numbers?...
  16. FlashPro - Artificial Knock Elimination

Yep, that file should have had that applied. It may have slipped through the cracks in prep.
  17. Wastegate closes and opens over 4000rpm

There's no "problem" on your log. The wastegate is open when the boost target is reached, and closed when it's not. It's doing exactly what it's supposed to do.
  18. FlashPro - Artificial Knock Elimination

None of those modifications should be visible on the TSP1. I do not recommend enabling this with TSP1. The tune has extra ignition built-in to work around the existing native control value rise behavior.
  19. Prl flex fuel, radiator fan no longer works

There's no reason to; it's automatic in KTuner. :)
  20. Prl flex fuel, radiator fan no longer works

The moment P2185 is disabled, fan function is automatically assigned to ECT1.
