Got the Boomba knob exactly for that reason and love it. Totally temperature neutral.

I found the larger/far one was easy to do without removing the c-clip. The smaller/closer one I tried to do the same but couldn’t get it back on with the new bushings. Fortunately it wasn’t that hard to remove just that one. -S

Final tweaks to my Boomba shift knob. Lowered to the perfect height with a Boomba short throw lever (and Acuity upgrades) and boot trimmed and attached. Amazing feel with no heat issues.

Need to drive a mile or so. Then park shut off and restart and it should take care of it. I think some of the stuff is self diagnostics that only run when you start and some takes driving. Until you restart it just assumes that there is still a problem. It won’t recheck automatically.
