Good morning fellow CivicX'ers. I am moving to Tucson and no longer need my winter wheel and tire set up. As the topic states, (4) Blizzak tires, (4) MB rims with only 6K miles on the set. Also included is the Lug nuts that go with the MB rims. Only used a winter and a half. I have an Si...
Indeed it does. I get the rev hang (I assume the Si thinks I am shifting), then after 2 seconds or so, the green CC light goes out. No crazy rev to the max or nothing...

Thanks all for the feedback. As the threat of snow and ice is real the later I have to dip into November before moving, I will mount the winters and take it easy (speed wise) when temps rise over 60. The summers will be in Tucson already when I arrive, so I will switch back over Thanksgiving...
Not to much room left in the coupe. I will have clothes, air mattress, and some dishes along with my dog. Appreciate the response, and based on what I am reading, looks like to will be conservative and mount the winters, and go the speed limit as the temps rise above 60. As for Tucson, been...
So, I'm moving from the PACNORWEST to sunny and warm Tucson next month (mid-November). Usually in the past the winter (Blizzak WS80's) go on the Si Nov 1 through March 15th. I have a 1700 mile drive, which 50% will be in weather colder than 50 degrees, and the other 50% between 50-75 degrees...
Discount Tire. The package price (tires/rims/lugnuts) for $650. Plus they will swap out free and rotate them all for free.
I do it myself, but it is nice to know I could have it done for free.

Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 215/50/17
Amazing tires, no loss of mileage. As you can see I have the Summer tires, and once the temp drops consistently below 45 degrees, the Blizzaks go one. I did go one tire size down and a little less width.

I take the back roads from Seabeck into Bangor (trigger gate). Since it is nice out (finally) I ride my bike into work most days. The Si is parked for trips up and down I5 for soccer. On the weekends Akula comes out as my wife and I get almost double the gas mileage as her Jeep GC.
Yeah, I work at PSNS (Bangor office), and see many Gen X Civics. I had one of the first Blue SIs in the area (I think) and there is one Type R at Bremerton. As for forum participation, I find the Volt group I was a part of is more active now.
My two cents.

About 600 miles on them now. Ride is certainly more "squishy" than the HPTs. Softer corners with higher sidewall, all expected though. Running them at 40 psi with minimal increase in road noise and NO loss of MPGs. Still 35 mpg or greater. Certainly a successful purchase in my book!

I had them for my old car (only put 1000 miles on them last winter) and they were amazing. We get large amounts of black ice and the tires performed well. In snow I won't even go without a set. Put the same tires on our Jeep Grand Cherokee and never needed low gear in the snow. Pricey for...
