Wow, super defensive of people asking what your AFR is? Yes, there are plenty of tuners out there that will tune people's car to the edge of what is an acceptable AFR and the first time you do a long highway pull or get some bad gas, engine go boom.
Ever heard the saying "you can run rich many...
Sure they do. If I were to buy a new STI, an equal length manifold (header) and a tune would be my first mod. Very, very common to replace the manifolds on an STI.
I went by the dealer today and told the sales guy that I would buy it if they would sell it for MSRP. I don't need a car, so the ball's in their court.
My local dealer (Don Jacob's Honda in Lexington KY) received a PMM in but it's listed at $41,485. I looked at it a few times and decided to pull the trigger, but we came to an impasse when I said I wouldn't pay over MSRP and they said they won't lower the price. Oh well, I can wait.
Sure, but data is data. It's pretty easy to look for outliers on Fuelly and determine if it is or isn't correct.
Sure, but anecdotes are anecdotes. Sign up for Fuelly and show us a 3 tank average that supports your claim. I, for one, absolutely hope you are getting those MPGs.
Oh c'mon, put the Coyote engine in a 3100lb car and it would get similar mileage. It also makes ~130 more horsepower. The Coyote is far from a gas guzzler.
That's right, my apologies guys. Offset is already measured from the center of the wheel, so if you get a wider wheel with the same offset, half of the width will go to each side of the centerline. You will need to stick with +60 offset wheels to keep the stock feel.
To avoid affecting torque steer, you would want to reduce offset by half the amount of wheel width you add.
That's not to say that it will torque steer like a Mazdaspeed3 if you didn't do it exactly, but that's how you would keep it at stock levels.
It's there, it's just that their website SUCKS! You have to go to cars and scroll down to hatchbacks.
Dumbasses at Honda need to have it set up like Toyota's website where you pick the car and then the body style. Plus, when you pick on a Civic to build, it starts with the lowest trim rather...
If Honda did that, they'd lose every comparison they were in, as it would be no value at that point. As good as the car is, $34k is already close enough to some other offerings that a lot of people would just buy something else.
If people want to pay ADM now, more power to them, but the car...
The car has been on sale for all of 10 days and just now reaching the west coast. Just give it a few months or put in the work to find one being offered for MSRP.
If I understand the math correctly, in order to not affect torque steer you would need to reduce the offset by half of the additional width in order to keep the center of the contact patch in the same spot.
