I got a muffler delete and the drone was crazy when you let off the gas at 3-4k rpm. cold start sounded so nice though. so I added a glasspipe resonator where my mufflers used to be. still droned at 3-4k, but a lot more manageable. installed a prl catted dp and the drone is terrible again...

an update for anyone facing similar issues in the future: dealership diagnosed a faulty bcm and replaced it. unfortunately, i was no longer under warranty due to over-mileage (37k miles). i was charged $199 for a diagnosis fee/credit to any subsequent repairs and they quoted $890 for the parts...
