Sort of off topic, but I can confirm that my 1.5L in my sport hatch will cool off at long lights during the winter when it hasn't reached temp yet. I was actually super worried once because it actually dropped so low that the gauge showed no temp after it was halfway warmed. I live in Ottawa...

Where I'm at right now is perfect to me. I'm just a hair past flush. If you like the look of a little poke, I'd go with your 18x9s. If you want flush, I'd go with 18x8.5. Imo I'd be more worried about curbing my rims if I went much further out. It's hard to say. Comes down to personal preference...

I'd wager this car is one of the easiest cars to learn stick on. With the rev hang, it feels like I have ages to wait before I can switch. Makes it easy for noobies.
I think you're referring to the shift boot retainer. It keeps the shift boot up. When you remove the stock knob, you won't have anywhere to clip the original collar back up to the new knob. You can find the retainer on Amazon for cheap.:thumbsup:
