    Sounds like maybe the tires weren't fully up to temp. Also the HP+ is more an aggressive street pad than true track pad,. I would suggest you get a dedicated track pad for the fronts and swap at the track, its not that difficult.

    If you're new, I would suggest you don't fully turn it off, but if you understand car control and are more advanced, the VSA not fully off interferes more than it helps. I run with it fully off, the CTR is very easy to control at the limit.
