Be careful with this (as it's somewhat of a security hole...although it's unlikely anyone would be able to take advantage of it unless you connected the car to a public open wifi hotspot)... but if you want to be able to get adb at any time without having to hook up a cable you could do this...

No - but you probably do need to reboot prior to testing.

What does that section of your whitelist look like? Try making it look like this... according to folks on XDA this will make the sound work: <controlData> <withAudio>without</withAudio> <audioStreamType>STREAM_ADA_GUIDE</audioStreamType> <regulation>null</regulation>...

Climate control is the greatest thing ever (esp on long drives)... I haven't run anything but auto (except for defrost on occasion) in 10+ years.

Have you tried a different cable? The system requires a good cable.... I upgraded mine to a higher quality one and all connection issues went away

FYI - waze works with Android auto now. I'd just use it that way if you have Android

Has anyone gone ahead and whitelisted SuperSU and installed it? I can't believe I didn't think to do that yesterday. It would make several things quite a bit easier Also - has anyone gotten ADB working over TCP/IP?

Yep - both work perfectly using the versions I linked there and that whitelist. Use the exact settings from my whitelist and they should work (I have a 2017 FWIW). Steering wheel controls and everything.

My last DD was a 2007 Accord EX-L... that card had zero features that my new 2017 Civic Touring doesn't have (and it was slower and actually about the same size inside... Civics have definitely gotten bigger internally). My wife has a 2012 Odyssey Touring Elite and from that I miss the memory...

I think it would be better to have a knob... but to me it doesn't matter since I only use the steering wheel controls (like every driver should... easier/safer/better once you get used to them). The steering wheel control slider is AWESOME once you get used to that... one of the coolest/best...
