  1. 2.0L CVT Lag on 2.0 EX No Turbo

This is pretty normal unfortunately. I believe a part of it is for smooth operation, same reason you can't exactly neutral drop the transmission. Turning off econ will help as will using sport mode around town. On my Si, it's hard to get a really smooth quick start with the manual because it...
  2. FS: Eibach Pro Kit

Sent a message to you. Cheers!
  3. 2018 Civic Volume Slider (Steering Wheel)

In the settings menu, go to system (I'm pretty sure) and view all, then go to "four way switch gesture" and select off. Problem solved.
  4. 2018 Civic Volume Slider (Steering Wheel)

Hey now hey now, better to throw the baby out with the bathwater right!?
  5. $9 stainless steel glovebox trim piece

It arrived pretty f'n bent up despite being in a box. The box allowed for a lot of extra packaging, and none was provided. Trying to straighten it out now underneath a large box holding a flat pack dresser. Hopefully it works out. :/
  6. Vancouver CivicX Meet?

18th is the only day that will work for me, I work in sales and Saturdays are the big day.
  7. Vancouver check in!

Looks fantastic! The coupe Honda should have built!
  8. SiriMoto vs Tanabe Strut Bar

Any particular reason? Or do you just like that it's one piece?
  9. Ready to buy but can't choose which trim

Yep. Either go for the Si (It's worth it to me!) or go for the better value of the LX hatch and do your own mods with the money you save. In my opinion. Having said that, the LSD and other features (LED touring lamps come on Si in Canada, those were a really big one for me personally) on the...
  10. Hard braking causes humming noise in the back

You're not driving your car hard enough, basically. Modern brakes have a high metallic content. It's why they stop so sharp, etc... Downside is if you drive it around town, are easy on it, etc they can basically glaze, and that's what you're hearing. This will also be the first few stops on...
  11. Civic SI vs Hatch, test drive thoughts

That's not at all correct. Maybe you can't feel the difference but I most certainly do. Especially with the CVT, since the CVT will short shift for economy.
  12. Thoughts and reviews on CVT vs Manual

Third gear was my favourite on the LX, for highway. Just have to rev it out and let VTEC kick in, y0
  13. Back in a Civic after 25 years

You wouldn't happen to be open to adopting another adult son, would you? I agree, a lot went into this car. Glad you've been enjoying driving it!
  14. $9 stainless steel glovebox trim piece

I'm assuming so. It's a legal thing with a lot of these parts. I figure at that price I'll take the chance.
  15. Vancouver check in!

My Michelin X-Ice Xi3 set is going up for sale. 16", bought when I had my LX and now won't clear my brake calipers on my new Si. Message me if you're interested.
  16. SiriMoto vs Tanabe Strut Bar

I would go with a strut bar that covers the entire top of the strut tower where it mounts. Just that much more rigidity.
  17. Issues With Dealer

Yep. This right here. also.... They have you in a loaner vehicle at no-charge, they're selling you the car cheaper than anyone else is willing to, and you want to unwind the deal or try and leverage even more discount? Seriously? That's pretty disrespectful, your sales person isn't...
  18. Vancouver CivicX Meet?

    I'm in!
  19. Civic wheels stolen off the streets of Vancouver

There's a theft ring. Targeting Accord Sport / Touring wheels, and Civic Si / Sport Hatchbacks. If you see a blacked out G37X with hanging around your area, watch out. they've also broken into cars to get the lug key out of the glovebox, since you can't lock the trunk or glovebox separately...
