  1. Mystery vibration rattle found.

IT WORKED! Been bothered by a loud buzz at a particular RPM in cold weather that I couldn't find. It was the poorly mounted windshield washer nozzles. I didn't remove them - I just smeared some silicone adhesive sealant around the edges of each nozzle mount, let it dry overnight, and SUCCESS...
  2. Civic 10th gen multimedia lcd touchscreen flickers

One thing which seems to work for cold weather flicker is to adjust the screen brightness to max and leave it there until warmer weather...
  3. 2016 civic snow driving issue!!'

I don't think there is necessarily a design problem with the car - just a snow consistency problem. I had the same problem once with stock tires on a late-model Camry on a ski trip in Taos, New Mexico. Snow built up to where I couldn't even turn the steering wheel. I had to dig the wheels out...

  5. What is the best real world MPG average you are getting from 2.0l or 1.5l

Usually mid-30's around town (in the mountains) and at least low 40's on trips. ECON always on. Picture is my new 45.3 mpg record from a recent trip - 70/75 mph on the interstate, AC on, 2 people with luggage, hilly with a mountain pass along the way. Touring 1.5 with surge software upgrade.
  6. Slight "kick" when accelerating from coasting

I had the software update described in this thread, and afterwards the problem you describe was also fixed - 2016 Civic 1.5L Turbo Surges at Highway Speeds (45–70 MPH) S.B. #16-028
  7. 2016 Civic 1.5L Turbo Surges at Highway Speeds (45–70 MPH) S.B. #16-028

Got mine fixed today, with great success! No surging anywhere between 65 and 75. Also fixed a minor thing I had noticed - a slight hesitation between moving the accelerator and the engine responding, like slop in the linkage (if it were a mechanical linkage). Nice and tight now. Satisfied...
  8. 2016 Civic 1.5L Turbo Surges at Highway Speeds (45–70 MPH) S.B. #16-028

10genderek - any chance you could post the link where you found this Service Bulletin. Might come in handy in the future. Thanks
  9. CVT surging up and down

Doesn't seem to be temperature dependent in my case. My worst time with the problem was on a trip in February from cold North Carolina to warm Florida and back. Same problem in both climates... Keep thinking!
  10. CVT surging up and down

Took my Touring on Monday to the dealer where I bought the car in Charlotte, NC for the surging problem. (my local dealer in Asheville, NC doesn't have local interstates where they could go 70-75 to test it - that's where mine showed the problem) The Charlotte techs were able to reproduce my...
  11. LCD Screen Flickering - Solution

Another way to fix the problem is to press the backlight adjust tab above the top left of the screen and adjust both day and night levels to max. Fixed a cold weather flicker for me...
  12. HondaLink

I had to enable "Personal Hotspot" on my iPhone to make it connect the first time, then it will connect in the future without the hotspot - bluetooth only.
  13. Alignment Issue

Mine originally came with the steering wheel off-center about 15 degrees. Fixed by the dealer with no problems...
  14. I f** up the Display on my Touring

After 6 weeks of perfection, my center clock suddenly wouldn't update when starting the car - it was showing the time that the car was last turned off. I tried the reboot trick, and for now the problem has gone away... (worried me for a while when the screen went black for quite a long time...
  15. What is the best real world MPG average you are getting from 2.0l or 1.5l

Prius would get low 50's. Attached is a picture showing the mileage and fuel use for a recent trip which included 72 mph interstate, 2 miles stop&go on the interstate for a wreck, and 40 miles around town - interstate was mostly hilly terrain and ended in a steep mountain pass (average was 43...
  16. 2016 Touring HondaLink not working

My HondaLink program cannot connect via cellphone through Honda's server via the HondaLink app on my iPhone 6s. The bluetooth connection between phone & car is OK, but HondaLink in the car won't work, so places, weather, messages, etc. are not available. I was on the phone today almost 2 hours...
  17. 2016 Civic Owners-Biggest Surprises/Disappointments so far?

No glove compartment light in the Touring, but otherwise super pleased!
  18. Civic Easter Egg - did you receive the rubber pad ?

My Touring pad has the bike/F1 car/jet design shown in the first link picture. Without Civicx I'd never have thought to look!
  19. Alternative to Weathertech Floor mats and Trunk Liner

Very satisfied so far with the Honda All-Season mats. This is not a super-snowy area so they don't have to contain a large volume of melt-water.
  20. What is the best real world MPG average you are getting from 2.0l or 1.5l

2016 Touring 1.5l - got 43 on our first trip (fairly flat terrain) and 40 on another in the mountains. Averaging low-middle 30's around our hilly town. Traded a Prius for the Honda, so I'm used to driving smoothly... All in Eco mode.
