Second. Do you notice if the coolant is leaking any where in the engine compartment.
to the group... places it could go
-ground
-oil
-cylinder (but it'd be in the oil)
-CVT (possible?)
Midweek... This is just about the time I start hate driving 200 miles a day. The Hatch is a champ.
What I want to do... install some type of fan in the body work of the car to pull or push air. I go to the gym every morning and my clothes sit in the car for the day.
Wonder how easy it will...
Absolutely busy weekend and managed to squeeze in some time to swap oil on both cars. Swapped oil on the Civic’s CVT after 13K miles. It was very clean and the plug had just about nothing on it. The change was to align with 25K service intervals.
Cabin air filter is the picture was the wrong...
Half way through the work week... some times it just drags on.
Thought of the day... Charging. I've been using the Goal Zero Sherpa 100 power brick to charge my devices while I drive. I would normally use the carplay usb port to charge my phone but I am not interested in being connected to the...
Just finished washing the car. Got little black specks on the starboard side of the car. The did come off with the rag but they scratch off. Not sure.
Thought of the day... how many states don’t allow stuff to be mounted to the windshield. I sure do enjoy having my Ram Mount X-Grip. I usually...
Had to google that one. I don't think the vendor I use is TOP TIER. Conveniently I only use one Circle K location because they use paybycar. The station reads my ez-pass transponder and sends me a text asking what pump I want to use. No fuss, it's activated and I pump. Receipt is texted when you...
Hey Folks! 2017 Civic Hatch Sport Touring here with the amazing 1.5T. Figured I'd use this thread as a blog to post about the car. AMA?
I initially leased the car while I lived in Las Vegas. Had sold my 2007 Sti w/50kmiles. Wanted a more relaxed ride and the honda sensing options made my...
Makes you really wonder if the iTunes is worth it.. I’ve also thought about doing the intercooler upgrade as well to get cooler temps. But.. is the cost worth the saved MPG’s. Maybe over time, how much time. Excel, here I come.
@UberCivic do you see better numbers with non-ethanol vs 91/93?
I saw noticeable improvement between 87 and 93. I too drive 1000 miles a week. What tires are you using?
@svffr for sure, that was my reason for the 3 year swap. I didn’t wanna walk out to a dead battery. Cold weather performance was already showing issues when starting.
I notice a big difference in the humidity and 87 v 93 oct fuel when it comes to the coldness of the AC here in N.C. does the gauge say it’s low of Freon?
After having the car for three summers in Las Vegas at my third year mark I preemptively changed my battery out. But no issues before that.
Glad you enjoyed your trip. I was interested in the thread to find if there were user interfaces you liked or didn't like. Jumping around town is not the same as being stuck in a car for hours. Even the available seat positioning is a factor.
I agree the LKAS/ACC is a huge positive, DUI EVASION...
Shout out to the grey sport de-badged hatch on 70 this morning headed east towards Golds. Was that an upgraded intercooler? I saw the exhaust, very clean.

Just this weekend I popped my hood and saw all the dust. Since I already had the hose out I decided to just start spraying. It cleaned up really well and after I finished washing/drying the car I turned it on. Let it run for 15 minutes, until the steam went away then let it sit.
Is this the...
@myke
I have been considering the same. I would like to put an ARB zero cooler and a battery under the glovebox.
I call the rear passenger side seat my living/dining room. A cooler would make a great place to put your feet up!
I car camped for some time in my hatch. Really consider airflow...
Turned the keys over to the wife and started driving her Honda Accord Hybrid.
With the gas shortages in the SE Region, the HAH gets better mpg's and holds more fuel. I've gone from 450 a tank to 650 miles in a tank. 40MPG avg to 50MPG avg. Going to try and nurse those MPG's a little higher.
