Bump. Finally took my ā16 Touring in today to have the dealer look at steering issue. I spoke to the service manager a couple of weeks ago and he was aware of the problem and said he thought the fix was a new steering rack. I asked him if Honda was offering any extended warranty for this...
Same issue here. I have a ā16 Touring with only about 30K miles. Itās nothing that would cause an accident but VERY annoying. Love the car with the exception of the steering, the rain sensor w/s wipers and the audio system. I havenāt had one problem with it other than these annoyances.
When I fist got my 2016 Civic Touring I posted that the rain sensor operation was terrible. I have since seen posts about rewiring them to standard intermittent wipers. I donāt want to do that. I know that the sensor is positioned correctly against the glass. My question is: has Honda come...
There is another thread regarding W/S replacement. As mentioned, most states (SC included) it is covered by insurance. Also bear in mind that the electronics near the w/s rear view mirror will need to be calibrated. In my case (also a '16 Touring) the glass shop (Safelite) was unable to do it...
Very cool. Porsche started incorporating this in the '90s with the 993 model...ABD-- automatic brake differential. Cool to see that the technology is now in use in these economy cars. Didn't realize mine had it. Thanks for the post.
I had my windshield in my 2016 Touring replaced shortly after I got the car. In the states, most states have a requirement that the insurance companies have no deductible on glass (here in SC included). The insurance co sent Safelite to my house and I was told I'd have to take it to their...
We used to have to pull out similar plugs from the frame rails on the Cayenne when customers complained of hearing water sloshing around during braking. We'd pull the plugs out and a gallon of water would come out of both frame rails. Maybe that's why the dealers are leaving them out during...
The point the OP makes is that the dipstick is difficult to read. Those with a lot of experience I'm sure would agree that some are easier to read than others. I've always felt it's best to have as much oil in the pan as possible when checking (on any car with a wet sump) since that's where...
At the Cayenne plant in Leipzig, one of the coolest things was the windshield installation. One arm would swing out and apply a bead of the butyl sealant all the way around the frame and then another arm would swing around with the windshield suction cupped to it and put it precisely into the...
I'm amazed by not only the people that design the software to operate those robots but more so those who develop the robots that use the software! I have been in the Porsche factory in Germany and seen it in person and it's nothing short of amazing!
I bought a used 2016 Touring sedan that I love! Especially the LED headlights (it's very dark here and I'm a geezer). The wheels on the lower trim levels (with the fake louvers) are some of the ugliest I've ever encountered in 42 years in the auto industry. My bottom line is, this Civic is a...
I have a 2016 Touring edition sedan that I bought with 6600 miles on it and have this issue. Sometimes (not always) when I pull out of my garage it will show me driving all over the golf course or even into the ocean! Then it gets me closer to the road that I'm actually on and finally operates...
