  1. 2016 Civic Si or Concept Style Spoiler Prototype Spied?

If the Si is an auto only I'm going to buy a used 2005 RSX-S manual, put a K24 in it, turbo it to make 550 to 650 hp and call it a day. Should be about the same price in the end.
  2. 2016 Honda Civic 1.5T and 2.0L engines technical presentation (specs, pics, videos)

If the Si doesn't have a factory turbo Honda will have a hard time getting my money!
  3. 2016 Honda Civic 1.5T and 2.0L engines technical presentation (specs, pics, videos)

At close to 17 lbs of boost factory on the 1.5 there's no way Honda will use this as the Si engine. They want something reliable, even in the Si trim, which this engine won't be when pushed to a boost level that exceeds 2015 Si horsepower figures.
  4. 2016 Honda Civic Inventory (Honda Geek) NJ: $750 off MSRP for CivicX Members until DEC 31st!!

I'm really hoping my friend at the dealership was talking about the Si when he said it would be announced at the LA auto show and start showing up on dealer lots in late December. Here's hoping! The earlier the better... but then again, I really want a hatchback. Hopefully the hatch body...
  5. Meeting the 2016 Civic in person at the Seattle Auto Show!!

I wonder how thick the clear coat will be and if it will be possible to sand it and polish it to get rid of that orange peel.
  6. First look 2016 Civic review and price details from press launch

I think you're right about the starting prices here. But Honda seems like they might ditch their old pricing model this time and package out the Civic like the other manufacturers do. You can add 10k to all the competition cars with options easily.
  7. First look 2016 Civic review and price details from press launch

Good point. I'm probably way wrong for the regular Civic. And hopefully way wrong for the Si and Type-R (I think that one will hit mid $45k fully spec'd).
  8. First look 2016 Civic review and price details from press launch

I think Honda will be going after the WRX and GTi with their Si and the STI and Evo with the Type-R. It would be silly of them to undercharge by a significant margin when the market is already set by the competitors. All Honda has to do is undercut by $500 to $1k and enthusiasts will still jump...
  9. First look 2016 Civic review and price details from press launch

Not so sure about the regular civic but I believe the Si will hit $35k for sure. At the best, just north of $30k.
  10. First look 2016 Civic review and price details from press launch

The pessimist in me is still betting on $35k+ for a fully spec'd Si. Probably $32 to $35k max for a top trim regular Civic with all available options. I really hope I'm wrong because if I'm right I'll be priced out of the market I just waited 1.5 years to get into!!
  11. 2016 Civic price announcement coming October 19

I hope you're right. I just have a sinking feeling about pricing for 2016 models for some reason. Seems like we're overdue for some excessive price creep.
  12. 2016 Civic price announcement coming October 19

I'm betting on a $32k to $35k MSRP for the highest model with all available packages. And a November 22nd arrival on dealer lots.
  13. Article: Next Honda Civic (2016) turns on the style [+ hatchback renders]

I really hope you're right about October! That'll put the Si release potentially in 2015!
  14. Article: Next Honda Civic (2016) turns on the style [+ hatchback renders]

He's the service center manager at my Honda dealer. He's reliable in terms of doing what he says he's gonna do but I have absolutely no idea if his information in this regard is credible. I asked at the time and he wouldn't tell me the source but had this smugness about him like it was legit.
  15. Article: Next Honda Civic (2016) turns on the style [+ hatchback renders]

I was asking about the Si when I got that answer but he made it sound like it was all of the sedan models. Honda's press release, if you take the wording literally, indicates the Si won't be out until after the coupe is released. Winter doesn't start until the 3rd week of December so Honda...
  16. Article: Next Honda Civic (2016) turns on the style [+ hatchback renders]

I heard from someone at Honda that the sedan will be announced officially on the 22nd of November at the LA International Auto Show and begin selling about a week later. Not sure where he got his information, though.
  17. 2016 Civic dashboard / interior patent images

That would be fine with me as long as the transition is super smooth! I really want to be able to see rate of change without having to guess to the nearest mph in my head. If it just comes with digital numbers I'll be paying a performance shop to add an analog speedo on the dash assuming the...
  18. 2016 Civic dashboard / interior patent images

LOLlipop! Also... 1 vote for an analog speedo! Rate of change and increased driver engagement, FTW!!!1
  19. 2016 Civic interior spied! Loses two-tiered design.

Their next announcement is allegedly going to be made at the Los Angeles Auto Show sometime between November 21st and the 30th. I'm expecting the standard sedan to be announced and go on sale in early December, coupe in late December to early January and who knows about the Hatchback, probably...
