If you look it up, you'll find that having your phone plugged into a power source when the battery doesn't need charging is not bad for your phone. Plus Apple would not create a product that would ruined their device when it needs to be plugged in to use.

This is actually very easy! Press the "Information" button on the left side of the steering wheel and scroll through the menu. I believe the last option says MPH/KM, select and switch to your preferred setting.

It's fun feature. I specially like the adaptive cruise because we have a lot of Sunday drivers and it is tourist season also, so I'm not always braking when on the highway. Since using it, I have less road rage lol.
