Dealer didn't help with anything.
Said it might be months before they can replace the trim piece.
What's worse is that I also have a tiny spot next to the scraped area, but this is actually chipped paint from the metal.
This is clearly a factory defect and a quality control issue.
Closes just fine.
I would have assumed it to be a careless porter or someone, except it's clearly evident on both doors. There's also an underlying mark (smaller scrape) where the door edge contacts the frame of the car.
Guess I'll be paying a visit to Honda ):
So I just noticed this, but how many of you out there have the same problem?
I'm surprised no one has noticed this tbh.
Basically, on the driver and passenger door edge (where it closes on to the side panel) the paint is completely rubbed raw in a small area. It's on both sides of the car...
Looks pretty normal tbh.
Can you check something for me?
One one side of my car, there seems to be slight peeling of the foam/glue that holds the wheel arch to the car.
Basically, I circled where you should be checking the fit on your image:
Best of luck with you.
I'm sure some sort of markup will be applied when you sit down to take home the car.
Or they might hit you in finance and force you to take their financing, like they did me.
I made a total of 2 emails and 5 calls to them last month, hoping that they'll start to sell...
1st Honda of Simi Valley refused to sell their CTR to me.
The first model is on display as far as I know until the second and third come in.
5k ADM was the word last week, not negotiable.
Believe me, I've been asking their management for months now when they're ready to sell.
Congrats buddy!
Yeah, I wouldn't hedge your bets on El Cerritos or Rock Honda.
Both were nowhere near MSRP last time I checked. Sometimes you get a salesperson that doesn't know anything.
DMV doesn't have to believe you.
Go AAA and just fill out the proper paperwork. Done that for my friends before.
But keep in mind that there are still taxes applicable if over a certain value.
Regardless, I don't think you should be advertising here.
Also you should mention what state you are in.
Same here.
First two cars ever were black, and I vowed to never do it again.
But once you've grown up significantly, it's not that bad!
You can always get the car ceramic-wrapped or coated if it's that bothersome.
Hey!
CBP is actually super nice in person, especially if you know how to take care of it.
Also helps in flying under the radar.
Makes the red accenting and red seats just perfect, rather than over the top.
I'm a firm believer that you shouldn't spend any more than necessary.
I've been shaking my head every time I hear about an extensive markup along with the rest of you guys.
Around 40k is how much I was willing to pay for this car before they announced the price.
I was one of those obsessed who...
