62k on all original brakes and rotors (2017). Rotors feel like crap though and have for a while but there is quite a bit of pad life left still. Plan to do pads and rotors on at least the front this summer. Still original tires too but looking to change them soon also.
Just wanted to report that my AC condenser failed for the second time now at ~47k. Dealer diagnosed the condenser and repaired it the same day (never happens). Freon was completely empty. Service writer even mentioned the extended warranty for the condenser. AC is perfect once again for...
Keep in mind if you use a laptop by chance you will need a high power USB port. I have a very powerful gaming laptop but it’s a few years old and unfortunately it didn’t have a power USB port. I could not link the V2 after downloading software. You have to go into car and power the V2 via the...
So is this an issue with the wheels or the tires? I had a problem similar to this previously on an old civic but never solved the problem. Not that is matters as I am out of warranty but is this a warranty issue? If I get the tires dismounted and rims cleaned up (assuming they are crapped up)...
I have been having atleast one tire leaking slowly for about a year. I think more are leaking now and very slowly. It is killing me. But now that I know I am not alone and that potential rim corrosion is the issue I can see about fixing that. Just sucks being out of warranty. I am at 40k. Hate...
I owned a 1999 Si since new and put over 200k on the clock. Sold her for just under 5k in 2017 and she was near mint and bone stock. Couldn't kill the car. Ran like a swiss watch on the day I sold it. Original clutch also!! I like the new Si and love the mileage and turbo torque, which old...
I have driven for 9hrs in the car a few times and no real issues with the seats. The side bolster are sometimes a little uncomfy but as soon as you hit a turn you are thankful they are there. Good luck finding a comfy seat position, it sometimes takes time.
I use the Fuelly App and have been tracking my fuel since new pretty much.
After 31K miles, avg. fuel economy is 38.9mpg with a best tank of 46.6mpg.
These are naturally all calculated values. I regularly get between 39-42mpg using only 93 Octane fuel.
Fuel economy is just incredible with...
Add my name to the NO A/C Club. 2017 Civic Si. Just as reported above, my AC was making gurgling sounds for a few weeks maybe. I noticed it but said the dealer will never hear it and the AC was still working fine. Come last week I noticed I had to keep lowering my temperature set point to...
I have the same sound. Only noticed it recently when cold and in a parking garage. Like you said it has to be relatively quiet to hear. But I agree it seems to be a normal sound from electric PS unit. Never paid attention after car warmed up as I usually had the radio too loud to hear it anyway.
Same exact issues here, since sometime last week. If I change one preset at a time using steering wheel controls the presets com back pretty quick, maybe 10-20sec. If I change multiple stations it seem to stay up indefinitely. But I usually hit home and back to audio, and they return...
I agree completely with the OP. My clutched started slipping at day 1. The car had 3mi on it. It did exactly as you said. However, after gentle driving, since I knew there was an issue, the clutch settled in around 500-1000mi. Since then she has never slipped again.
But just like you, all...
Who makes the filter element? Is it oiled or dry? I really don’t care for oiled filters as they are maintenance nightmares and not worth the trouble. But I would love to hear more of the turbo and recirc valve.
Your intake and install looks great, along with the LED’s. I need to track down...
Sounds like the wheels ARE hoping as you indicate it feels like. I know mine hops violently if hard on the throttle prior to traction control taking over. I would just accelerate easier in the rain. Unfortunately no AWD, and thats what we have to deal with.
That’s sounds perfectly normal for a gasser. They all behave this way.
Diesels start and immediately idle at low rpm such at 650-700 rpm regardless of temperature. Pretty weird actually.
These new intercoolers look great, and I can't wait to hear and see more when they are finally released.
Do you have any final test data as far as approach temperatures obtained with the new intercooler? I know it was mentioned earlier that 10-15F is normal for an aftermarket unit.
Also, I...
This is EXACTLY correct in my opinion. My clutch slipped in higher gears at high load conditions when brand new. I documented it with the dealer, but told them I would give it time before coming in. I would say it took a solid 500 miles (maybe a little more even) of conservative driving to...
I test drove atleast 1 Si with 50mi on it, and the clutch was pretty much wiped out already. The clutches seem to slip if you push the cars too hard during the first 500 or so miles IMO. If your clutch chatters on initial engagement, it is damaged, Many have complained about that already...
