Through the first 20 months of ownership (purchased 9/30/2017):
Pmt: $0/month
Ins: $81/month
Gas: $68/month
Parts: $34/month (I do my own maintenance. This includes things like high wall floor mats and the trunk tray.)
My cost per mile, including purchase price, is $1.09. This is...
I can't speak to the 2016 Civic with the CVT, but I had a 9th gen Accord with the CVT--I changed the CVT fluid on that several times. I would assume that changing it on the Civic is of similar difficulty. On my 2014 Accord, it was similar in difficulty to changing the motor oil. Make sure...
As of my most recent fillup, over the past year I'd traveled 17,118 miles and used 412.005 gallons of gasoline for an average of 41.55 mpg. My high tank was 45.87 mpg while my low tank was 37.51 mpg. I have no idea how that compares to what the car's computer shows. I'm satisfied with the gas...
First, apologies to the OP as we've gone a bit far afield from the original question.
Blindeye_03, your forum ID is apt as you keep turning a blind eye to the evidence. One example of an asymmetric, directional tire is the Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2 (in certain sizes only). For example, the...
I know that using Google can be difficult for some...so, from the Discount Tire direct website (source #2 that I've provided):
"Asymmetrical & Directional Tread
Asymmetrical and directional tires are designed as a combination of the two tread designs. This tread pattern is very uncommon and...
Ummmmm...quoted directly from Tire Rack's website:
"Asymmetric and Directional Tread Patterns
Asymmetric and directional tread patterns have v-shaped tread grooves that are offset compared to the centerline of the tire. Tires featuring asymmetric and directional tread patterns must be treated...
I contacted both Tire Rack and Goodyear--as indicated, the Goodyear Eagle Sport tires on the SI are asymmetric but they are NOT directional. The correct tire rotation pattern is the cross pattern shown in the manual. I don't know if the optional summer tires are similar.

At 7000 miles, I replaced the factory fill with fresh OEM MTF this morning because I was having the occasional 2nd gear crunch and figured this would be a cheap attempt to fix it. The fluid that drained out seemed very thin and sort of yellowish/pinkish/blackish in color--very different from...
Start it and go immediately. Go easy (low revs, under 2500) until warm. I'm often on the interstate and rolling at 65 mph before the engine temperature marker even comes on.
2017 SI
Only got it at the beginning of October...not really broken in yet. Always fill it up until the hose clicks off (never topping up). I'm alternating tanks of 87 octane and 93 octane.
