Any luck? I have something similar, but sounds like it may be under the car possibly hitting the firewall/exhaust tunnel. I’m thinking it may be the engine torquing and causing the exhaust to hit the under side of the car because I can sometimes get the same sound on a very aggressive 2-3 shift.
Mine never got/felt blocked, just crunchy sometimes with an occasional grind on quick shifts. Grinds wouldn't happen unless car was fully warmed up which I always thought was odd.
I'd assume so. I'm not an expert, but my clutch was grabbing right off the floor. The pedal adjustment pushes the CMC piston in just a bit further now resulting in smoother shifts and no grinding on quick 1-2 shifts. I didnt want to go through replacing or modifying the CMC. This 5 min fix did...
Just gets rid of some slop in the rod. It's to ensure when you start pushing in the clutch, you are actually pushing fluid and eliminates any dead zone.
Post #12 has a link to a vid.
Note: there are 2 adjustments.
1. CMC rod adjustment
2. Clutch pedal travel adjustment
The 2nd allows a longer throw to push more fluid and probably makes the biggest difference.
Following that vid appears to have solved my 2nd gear grind issue. I just had to adjust back a couple of threads and you can immediately feel the difference shifting.
