Had the exact same thing happen to me around a month ago - pulled into my parking spot way too tight and scraped the EXACT same area, down to the bare metal. Didn't want to deal with it and went through insurance.
It was around $1600 total, parts+labor. Looks brand new though.
No Bluetooth stuttering yet. System still seems smoother than it did. Side and rear cameras' frame rate also seems ever so slightly higher.
Can anyone who DOESN'T have the update share their Android system info so we can cross reference the kernel and whatnot to mine? Also, I've attached my RAM...
They did not. Unless I forgot to change it after a factory reset a while ago, I did have to change the touchscreen sensitivity again, but everything else seemed normal. Wallpaper, icon arrangement, etc.
Will do :)
You could be 100% correct! But I hope it's not :) Maybe I'm just happy an update was released, but I swear there was always a hint of stuttering on my headunit, even after doing a full reboot. Unless someone responds earlier (I won't be home for another few hours) I'll try to post again with any...
Just finished my update. I went into the system settings and confirmed that my head unit is now running Ver. 1.F186.69, which was updated from Ver. 1.F183.52.
I didn't have time to test out the bluetooth skipping or any of the bugs, but let me just say... the head unit seems to be running MUCH...
Bringing my 2016 Civic Ex 2.0l around noon today for the software update. Dealership said it'll take about an hour to an hour and a half. I'll post with an update after the software update is complete.
The moment your car starts moving, you can't really even dial numbers using your touch screen or do anything productive, including small things that don't distract the driver.
The PhotoDon protector is great. Thanks OP! If I'm not feeling the shinyness of the anti-fingerprint one, I may switch to an antiglare one for the price. PhotoDon did an excellent job with the packaging... way above and beyond.
I only have a Civic EX, but I'm being told by the dealership that a software update is currently in the works for non-touring models and will hopefully be released soonish.
This is correct. I checked owners.honda.com after I brought my car in for the recall, and it's still not listed on that website. I'd call the line that My2016Civic posted as they were able to confirm that my car was part of the recall even though the website said otherwise.
Side note, they said...
Yeah, I'm pretty upset. I'm paying for a 2016 Civic EX and now I have to use a lesser car for a third of the month. Not only that, but it gets worse mileage and they expect a full tank when I get back. So theoretically I'm losing money. And there's a daily mileage limit! All because of a recall...
Dealership called me yesterday saying there was a recall for my car. They wanted me to bring my car in as soon as possible, which I did this morning. Told me it could take up to 7 to 10 days to fix.
And they gave me a 2014 Civic base trim. Oh man I'm not happy right now. Paying for something...
Haha yes... I know... see my previous post. I was able to find this screen without issue **BUT** I can't seem to get to the "For Developers" area by holding the "Menu" button like that person does in the video so we can disable the distracted driving feature. I am asking if anyone knows the...
It's a different Dev menu I believe. On the home screen you have to hold the Brightness button at the top, Power, and Home I believe for a few seconds, and you'll see a new menu appear.
I am lost on how to access the "For Developers" menu at this point though. Any insight?
