It’s working fine with my Note 8. Android Auto (in both of my cars) is very cable sensitive though... make sure you have a very high quality USB cable and that it is plugged in securely. Try swapping cables, even if you are thinking “but it worked just fine with my last phone”.
I haven’t noticed any of these issues with my Galaxy Note 8... what phone do you have and what version of Android? The Wayz issue sound more like an issue with Wayz than Android Auto itself.
It all depends on how agressively you apply the throttle. If you lightly apply the throttle, it “launches” softly... if you apply the throttle more aggressively, the CVT “launches” without hesitation.
While I generally prefer manual transmissions for the additional control and driver involvement that they offer, for the purpose that I bought this car (daily driver/commuter with a fun side) I've been pleasantly surprised with the CVT. When you give it some throttle, the engine will rev right...
This same type of paint defect has been found on some ND Miatas and Mazda released a TSB stating "Some vehicles may experience stains appearing on the hood, roof and/or trunk of the vehicle. This concern is most likely to be found in a cold weather areas just after the RAPGARD is removed at PDI...
34 here, technically the Civic is my wife's car, but I drive it more than her. I've received nothing but compliments on it, especially the Sonic Gray color. My car is a Mazda MX-5 (Miata), so I'm pretty comfortable with my masculinity, lol. If a car is fun to drive, I couldn't care less what...
I had a feeling you were in California before I even opened the thread... the cost to replace the mirror depends on which pieces that you need to replace. Often only the outer painted shell or individual pieces like that need to be replaced. If you don't think that you can install it, a shop...
Not an entirely true statement... in the Sport hatch the manual gets 29/38/33 and the CVT 30/36/32, so about 5% better on the hwy with the manual. For the LX hatch the manual gets 29/38/33 and the CVT 31/40/34, so the CVT is actually better on the hwy in that case.
That's not the best angle on that picture, but that does not look normal. Is that panel loose if you press on it? Do any bolts appear to be missing? Was your car recently serviced (they may have left some bolts loose or not put them back on at all)?
Turbos are harder on oil than normally aspirated engines and direct injection tends to dilute oil with fuel, so the oil being black after 5k miles is not surprising. People obsess over the color of oil a little too much, the oil darkening just means it's doing its job. I wouldn't panic about...
Don't get me wrong, I prefer a manual transmission in a sports car (which the Civic is not), which is why my MX-5 has a manual... but saying that "manual will always beat CVT" is just incorrect. http://www.civicx.com/threads/official-sport-hatch-0-60-cvt-6-9-manual-7-5.10597/
The CVT is actually quicker to 60 than the manual and there is less engine braking ("slowing down quicker") with a CVT, it just likes to coast forever. Econ mode definitely neuters the car though... Your friend's Civic is an entirely different generation, so comparing what it does to your car...
There is no reason for anybody to fear warranty issues for changing their own oil so long as they keep records/receipts of the change, use the right oil and change it when the maintenance minder says to (or sooner). The main reason that I change my own oil is to make sure that it is done right...
Thanks for the video, it will be helpful when it is time to change my oil. I am glad that the drain plug is on the back of the engine so that the oil will drain well with the front tires on my wheel ramps.
Side moldings were the first thing I ordered for my Civic hatch. I haven't taken any good pics of the car since installing them, but as you've seen in the pics above, they look good and more importantly they are functional. I've also installed splashguards, door edge protectors, rear bumper...
Fiend busa summarized it pretty well for you... modifying your car carries the risk of a warranty claim being denied. Some dealers have been known to turn a blind eye to modifications for loyal customers, but there are no guarantees. The Magnuson-Moss warranty act places the burden on the...
