  1. Android Auto iHeartRadio cannot skip track from steering wheel

In case anyone else has the same problem, apparently iHeartRadio developers removed the "scan" feature from version 8.8.x and beyond. So only way to skip/scan a station is through the headunit at this time, steering wheel option is disabled. I tried side-loading an earlier version but Android...
  2. Android Auto iHeartRadio cannot skip track from steering wheel

When listening to iHeartRadio in Android Auto, I cannot skip to next station using my car's steering wheel button as I did before. I can skip to the next station/song from the iHeartRadio screen on the headunit but not from the steering wheel button. All buttons work fine with Google Music...
  3. iHearRadio & HondaLink need help please

Phone is connected to the USB behind/below the head unit (next to the cig lighter). When connected with the cable, the headunit recognizes my phone and gives an option to start Android Auto on the Home Screen. You will have to install Android Auto app on your phone for the whole setup to work...
  4. Touring Owners (Does the chrome door handles and door grill bother you?)

I feel chrome complements well with my WOP.
  5. Goodbye 10th gen family

As someone who owned a turbo Mazdaspeed 6 in my 20's, I can say that the 2.3L turbo AWD on the Mazdaspeed 6 is definitely an Civic X ass-kicker (excluding the new TypeR). For a 2006 Mazda, it was very well built and top notch interior/exterior quality. However, dual-clutch engagement was...
  6. Walk Away Door Lock

when the doors lock after the 2nd beep, it sounds like a bunch of celery sticks crunching :p
  7. iHearRadio & HondaLink need help please

    1. I use iHeartRadio from the Android Auto (AA), not sure if you can get it from Apple CarPlay for your iPhone. Once my phone is connected as AA, iHeart or whatever I was listening to on AA (I switch back and forth between iHeart and TuneIn Radio) becomes the Audio Source when AA is selected...
  8. Does the 2017 Civic Sedan have Auto High Beams?

Just chiming in with '17 touring sedan with no auto high beam feature. Hoping for an easy software feature on by the dealers at some point.
  9. If you live in NJ, don't get pulled over for this like I did!

I got a dashcam still waiting to install but I read somewhere that in NJ you can't mount it on the windshield if/with it's screen is visible to the driver...here comes the subjective ticket fights...
  10. Is this problem with Android Auto or on the Honda side?

Ver. 4.32.0.2 update: 4 days, 6+ hours of Waze on AA and so far so good. No black screen or revert to AA home screen at all. Occasionally it recalculates the route after LaneWatch is activated but I'll live with it since it's now better than the blank screen issue of previous versions.
  11. Hidden Features/Quirks you did not know about the Honda 2017 Civic

Just noticed today the tachometer has faint lines towards the mph digit between 2K and 6K possibly to indicate max torque range.
  12. Auto dimming rear view mirror- dealer installed

Agree with @BarracksSi. On my Touring sedan, I don't have a hatch spoiler but I also think the 3rd brake housing blocks line of sight... the auto dimming works for cars at a distant and turns off for cars immediately behind me which makes the whole feature useless.
  13. Just noticed this little storage pocket

garage door opener plus extra napkins...
  14. Is this problem with Android Auto or on the Honda side?

still not fixed with the latest update (4.31.0.2). And today I noticed same black screen of death while using Google Maps! So, back to my question, is it AA, Waze/Google Maps, or Honda integration?
  15. Today, it won't proximity auto-unlock...

Almost same symptoms...but with a twist and more... I proximity unlocked the drivers door and started the car (key fob in my pocket). Then I needed to run back home to grab my bag. After maybe 15-20 seconds getting my bag, I wanted to put it on the front passanger seat so I attempted to unlock...
  16. If you live in NJ, don't get pulled over for this like I did!

I had a european style custom license plate on my Golf back in the days and of course I got pulled over by NJ state trooper. He asked what's that plate in the front and I said it's "cosmetic" and I said I'm moving to CT where front plate is optional (at the time). Needless to say, that was one...
  17. If you live in NJ, don't get pulled over for this like I did!

it was attached to the windshield with suction cups and positioned flush with the bottom of rearview mirror. So, to me, no obstruction, but to the cop, a reason to give me a ticket. One cop even told me straight out, you have a detector for a "reason" ;)
  18. Infotainment software update?

Isn't the CRV and the new Accord head units 2GB (*edited) memory android systems? '16/'17 CivicX head units are 1mb which is the reason for the slow responses. 2GB (*edited) android units will be much faster and useful (in case of APK installs, etc)
  19. If you live in NJ, don't get pulled over for this like I did!

On a previous car, I got an "obstructed view" ticket for having a radar detector mounted on the windshield because in NJ they can't give you a ticket for having a radar detector. Cop wrote "radar detector" in parenthesis to make it obvious in case I fought in court which I didn't since it's not...
  20. Power shut down after turning off ignition

So the radio stays on even after the engine is off in "N" and subsequently put into "P"? I thought putting the car to "P" in any sequence turned off the car entirely. Gotta try this... Another useless way for the CVTs is to push Stat/Stop while holding the shift lever after putting into "P"...
