I would certainly walk away if it were me but I'm not generally dead set on a specific car. It's a pretty major ripoff, sounds like a way to sell a car at higher than list price.
I was just hoping like the dickens that a 2017 Civic would be what I needed. My 2000 Accord and 2008 Civic have been so much more reliable than any other car I ever owned that I've gotten downright superstitious. If the 10th Gen Civic LX had not suited me I'd have probably just tried to squeeze...
Yes I am six feet even and neither Accords or Civic with the sunroof are comfortable for me in terms of headroom. But the 10th gen Civic w/o sunroof has loads of headroom to spare. I can even wear a hat.
I wonder how much the sunroof actually reduces the headliner height, must be at least 3"...
I keep things pretty simple. Just stick the nozzle in (no cap gas to fiddle with, yaaay!), squeeze it all the way, wait until it cuts off, put the nozzle back in the pump.
What's the best that could happen by "topping up"? I drive about 35 miles/day on average so an extra half gallon of top-up...
I knew it was only a matter of time.
Yesterday, on my 39th day of ownership, I arrived at my parking place to find an identical silver 2017 Civic LX parked next to mine. Well, identical except for the license tag number and the (I kid you not) green "tree" air freshener dangling from the...
Wow, I was kind of annoyed that my dealer had put a pinstripe on my LX Sedan and upped the price by $45! Didn't realize I was getting such a great deal.
Never considered alternatives. At least none beyond putting a new A/C compressor in my '08 and keeping it a couple more years.
Loved my '00 Accord. Switched to Civic in '08 because Accords by that point had gotten toodambig to fit in my garage. Loved the '08 Civic.
I've got to say the 2017...
Next tank full the "Average Fuel Economy Trip A" said 34.3 but the miles divided by gallons gave 33.45mpg. So this time almost a full MPG overstatement from the dashboard display.
Overall it looks like my dashboard display is going to tell me I'm getting maybe 3/4 of a mile per gallon better...
I'm quite happy with my Lunar Silver LX sedan. But if a Cosmic Blue one with my preferred Sensing package had been easily available I'd have gotten that color. It is by a long shot the most attractive color offered in the Civic range this year IMO. Also seems very unusual, I'm yet to see a...
The first time I filled up my new Civic the dashboard display's average said 33.1mpg but if I divided the mileage by the amount I pumped it was 32.6-something. So I guess in round numbers I'm getting 33mpg. That's about 1/3 Interstate and 2/3 mixed city and secondary road in a 2.0/CVT sedan...
Glad you are OK. Wow that looks like a nasty impact.
Civic held its own against a bigger assailant, judging from the minivan in the background of that first photo.
I didn't particularly dig the console/armrest on my 8th-gen but the 10th-gen one is even more massive and poorly thought out in my opinion. It's like they figured as long as you can cram a couple of tablet computers in there the rest of the design doesn't matter.
Then again I carry practically...
Sounds like I just lucked out by buying my latest Civic after the big 10th-generation improvements in cabin comfort. I'd sort of been used to my old Civic but in the past few months I rented a BMW for a week while on vacation then later borrowed a Mercedes from a family member while mine was in...
My new Civic LX (4dr, CVT) replaced a pretty good car, my 8th generation Civic LX and for the that matter my old Accord was a real good car as well. But I'm finding that driving the new one is much more different than I had expected.
Compared to the old car, the 2017 one feels like riding...
If I can bring an old thread back to life, my 2017 LX Sedan is "missing" that same tool even though it definitely has steel wheels with plastic wheel covers. Is there or is there not supposed to be a tool in that bottom slot on a plain-vanilla LX? Any other LX owners care to chime in?
