My 17 si coupe was repaired under the extended warranty. The condenser and seals in the compressor. And wvac/recharge. That is the only items covered.
I know this because a line "let go", per the dealer, 3 days after the warranty repair.
That line was not covered and my 3rd party coverage...
Yea. I wasn't gonna cry over it.
They've done lots of major work for me over the years without issue.
I'm pretty layed back and wasn't going to let that bother me. Nor withhold any future work from them.
Its been great. Have about 1500kms on it.
Dropped it off at 830am and had it back at 3pm. They missed a connector sensor on reassembly (iat2). I just had to plug it in all the way. I only knew caus it threw a code a couple days later.
I took mine to my dealer with the rv6 flywheel and stage 0. $1500 canadian and they resealed my timing chain cover. I thought that was reasonable for the Honda dealer.
So you drive the car after noticing a large leak of an unknown fluid under your car after hitting something?
Hope your car is okay. The leak could be the least of your worries now.
Can't tell you what the fluid is but there is quite a bit if it.
How long was your car parked in that parking spot?
As long as traces weren't pulled off it should be a pretty easy fix. I repair/resolder fire pager charger usb sockets almost every day for a living lol.
If traces are missing it turns into a nightmare.

Common sense to one person is not always common sense to the next. Its in the eye of the beholder.

Nope never had an issue with bolts rusting from pressure washing under the hood. After 10 years 350000kms my 8th si gen was showing rust on bolts but that would be expected
But since @scott_alt dug out his owners manual to tell people that Honda says no to this. Do what he says and don't do...
I've hit mine several times with hot water pressure washer with no issues . Dont blast things up close where electrical connectors live or you might force water into them and be careful around the fuse box and ecu area. avoid hitting a hot engine If you use a cold water pressure washer.
I've...
I know I nipped at you pretty hard In a post that was quickly taken down but this is what I was talking about. You dont want to be responsible for that kind if carnage. And for what? Just to see if your car is faster? Not worth it. There's specific built places for that. Glad you came around...
