Nice new theme style. Looks much more modern and decluttered, on both mobile and desktop views.

Love this! The Sports EV Concept and Urban EV Concept are two of the best concepts revealed at Tokyo Show this year. I could actually see these getting made. All the other concepts were just too "conceptual" in design to become reality.

R&T just posted about this, citing this thread. And they got a Honda rep to confirm that this is the official torque figure.
Don't put the car in neutral at a stoplight. There's no need.
Don't hold yourself on a hill using the throttle if it's a clutch-based CVT.
Don't coast in neutral, because you're not helping the car here and now you're losing some regen if it's a hybrid.
Don't neutral drop the car. Why would you...
Their model naming scheme doesn't make it any easier lol. How about a BMW X5 M550d xDrive. Try saying that 5 times in a row
The five 2016 Civic trim names are short and sweet and easy to remember.
We've always known the Type R as a hatchback anyway so why change up its heritage by making it another body. Would be like making the WRX STI a coupe. Just weird ya know.
Some people really don't like how the CVT one gear action feels tho. And dual clutch is still faster than a traditional auto. Dual clutch should also be able to handle higher maximum power levels compared to auto, but maybe only important for tuners and owners who go crazy modifying.
I saw it...
Cool car on paper (never driven one of course) but AWD on regular roads is usually a very boring drive. I'd still take FWD torque steer over that any day.
That's true. Would suck if some bolt-ons (or even just sourcing the parts which 'de-tunes' the engine) gets it to Type R specs. But I'd imagine if you went the route of sourcing the OE parts to put back in that would end up actually more expensive than just buying the Type R to begin with. As...
Wouldn't that have been a good thing if the Si had a detuned Type R engine? So then just some small mods could unleash a lot of power?
Agreed It would be foolish to get rid of the Si badge.
I'm hoping for a redesign by then. Not that I dont love the new Type R but by then it will be 3 years old and some of that novelty will have worn off. Come to think of it, did they mention the Type R shown in Geneva will ride on a new platform? That should be the telltale sign. The '16 Civic...
Well the vents / intakes are all still covered up so its hard to tell detailed bodywork at this point but the overall shape and proportions are spot on.
Yea being built in UK and imported pretty much guarantees it will have a price premium. It's the opposite effect of what happens when we export our gas guzzlers over there.
It's like with the EP3 Civic Si/SiR hatchback in the early to mid 2000s... which pretty much sold like crap. I remember...
