After 1000 miles? If the dealer washed the car prior to delivery, then yes, you have swirls and micro scratches everywhere haha. I'm paranoid about paint maintenance. If a towel shows the slightest hint of dirt, it either gets chucked, or I use it to clean wheels.

I'd do the ceramic coating. I love placing sealants and waxes. But these days, I'm realizing I'd rather spend the majority of my time with prep work (as you should), place a ceramic coating, and call it a day for a while.

The Type R I saw at my local dealer had swirls everywhere. It was awful. But if you're using the same towel to clean the 50-100 cars that come through, you're going to get swirls.
