Found the wheels online but bough them through my Honda dealer. DAI is out of Montreal so you should be able to get them in Ottawa. There are a number of different wheel models available and some are available with direct fit to the Honda 64.1 centre bore. The Oracle wheels I got were not...
Hi Merrickville,
Congrats on your new Civic LX! Hope you enjoy your new ride in Agean Blue! :) I wanted Agean Blue but it was not available when I bought in December. I also wanted Honda Sensing so went with Modern Steel Metallic.
I ended up getting a new model of DAI wheels: DAI Oracle -...
I got the Black interior and am pretty happy with it. Of course in Canada, all of the interiors are Black, except for the one option of Ivory leather on the Touring.
The pictures below show the positioning of the front caliper to the wheel. The caliper is close but is not hitting the wheel as driving has been fine. Hope this gives you the view you are looking for.
Just installed new wheels on my Civic LX. In December I had the car delivered with winter tires (Michelin X-Ice xi3) on the original steel wheels. Now I have put the original all-season tires onto new alloy wheels. Stayed with original size to keep costs down and bought/installed them at the...
From the specs it looks like Honda Sensing is only on the Touring for the coupe, while it is available on all trims on the sedan. Likely due to lower coupe volumes and perhaps coupe drivers wanting more of a 'pure' driving experience.
I have a Canadian LX, which has a few more features than the US model. I am very happy with it as it had the features I was really looking for but didn't force me to pay for ones I didn't want.
I was OK with the 2.0 liter and didn't want the extra power of the turbo. I was also OK with the...
If anyone wants to consider the Husky mats as an alternative, I posted my comments and pictures here: http://www.civicx.com/threads/husky-liners-installed.1736/
The Husky mats have a bit of "new rubber smell" but it is dissipating much like the "new car smell" when I got the car. Did not feel overpowering even when I first installed them, so I don't think that is an issue.
The Husky mats are well fitted to the space they cover and the underside is covered with rubber spikes that dig into the carpeting. So far they have stayed put and have not moved. Haven't had them wet yet as it has been mostly dry so far. Expecting snow shortly so we'll see. The material...
I believe the difference has to do with Honda Sensing.
The red car on the left appears to have the Honda Sensing camera above the rear-view mirror and the Honda Sensing radar which is built into the same housing as the fog lights, whether the car has fog lights or not.
The white car on the...
I just picked up the Husky Liners I ordered two and half weeks ago after I read the following post by Bworks3 (Thanks!): http://www.civicx.com/threads/husky-liners-available-if-you-call.1472/
To eliminate any potential issues with shipping, I ordered through a local Toronto dealer that I found...
I had my LX delivered with X-Ice 3 winters on the original 16" steel wheels. They have been running great so far. Will be looking to put the original all-season tires onto alloy wheels in the spring.
Great guide to changing the wheels! I had my LX delivered with Michelin Xice Xi3 tires on the original steel wheels with OEM wheel covers. Will be looking for inexpensive alloy wheels to put the all-season tires on, likely the DAI Vectra wheels shown below as they come in OEM size, including...
