  1. Next Wave of U.S. Cars

    Rose Detailing in Carlisle.
  2. Next Wave of U.S. Cars

Mine came in last night! They can’t do the PDI until Monday so it will sit in the delivery area until then. I also am driving it from there to get Xpel and ceramic coating before taking official delivery of it. MSRP in case anyone was wondering.
  3. Next Wave of U.S. Cars

Finally got my ETA today, two weeks since getting the VIN. It’s supposed to be delivered sometime between Nov 3-7. It’s still showing as assigned and not shipped yet. I hope I’m lucky and it shows up early especially since Baltimore is a little over an hour away.
  4. Next Wave of U.S. Cars

There seems to be a few coming in right now that were built in April. The OP had one just show up and I’m assuming going by the low number VIN that I received, that mine will be from April as well. My assumption is they were pulled off the factory floor due to a problem (possibly the harness...
  5. Opinions on PPF (XPEL) and Ceramic Coating

It’s going to be PMM. I’m sure getting the entire car covered is not necessary but I like to be cautious. Will it matter much if I get it wrapped then wait a year to get it coated?
  6. Opinions on PPF (XPEL) and Ceramic Coating

Thanks. It’s already included in the price they quoted me.
  7. Canadian Type R and Honda Plus Extended warranty

I can’t answer any of your questions other than I think extended warranties are usually a waste of money. With that said, this is the first run of a new car so there may be problems that appear. Post #52 on this thread is quite interesting. It’s in USD so not sure if it helps but you might be...
  8. Next Wave of U.S. Cars

Anyone else with updates? I’m still waiting for an ETA after receiving my VIN a week ago.
  9. Opinions on PPF (XPEL) and Ceramic Coating

Thanks for all the thoughts everyone. @Ramster I definitely have one of the best shops picked out for the installation. They’ve been around a long time and have a great reputation. I also have two coworkers who had them install both the PPF and ceramic coating. You definitely sold me on the...
  10. Opinions on PPF (XPEL) and Ceramic Coating

I’m still waiting on my CTR to come in. I currently have a VIN but no ETA. For the past few months I have been planning on getting the full front clip protected with XPEL Ultimate then getting Opti-Coat ceramic coating on the whole car. Recently, I’ve been considering having the whole car...
  11. any changes revealed on the 2018 CTR?

That’s also another good reason to wait. Mine is currently in transit and it’s getting cold here in the mornings. I’m getting wheels and tires just for winter use. I’m not sure how they’re going to deliver them in the middle of winter to most of the country, the tires will crack.
  12. any changes revealed on the 2018 CTR?

I highly doubt there will be any changes. Honda will only fix major defects or safety issues, if there even are any. Anything else will be saved until a mid model refresh in a year or two. I would only wait if you’d prefer a different color.
  13. Next Wave of U.S. Cars

I got my VIN and it moved to In Transit today! No ETA yet though. Congrats @SnapOn_86 that is an amazing twist of fate. I’m jealous of that number! What color?
  14. Next Wave of U.S. Cars

This gives me some hope that I may get mine by the end of the month.
  15. Next Wave of U.S. Cars

I’m hoping for my sake that this is incorrect. I was hoping that with my 7/14 build date that mine would be in my hands by 10/15 at the latest. Unfortunately, there seems to be less info now than there was around release date. I’ve seen some people with August build dates say they have ETAs and...
  16. Next Wave of U.S. Cars

@SnapOn_86 how do you know your car isn't on the ship?
  17. Second wave is upon us- Here's some state's lists

If you're getting yours from Apple or Hanover Honda, I wouldn't be surprised if our cars were on the same truck to our dealers.
  18. Second wave is upon us- Here's some state's lists

What state are you buying it from? 3 days turnaround from port to dealer seems really fast even if the dealer is in the Baltimore area. I'm almost thinking it was on an earlier ship.
  19. Second wave is upon us- Here's some state's lists

I'm thinking that the VINs don't necessarily show up immediately after hitting port. Only once they're scanned in and assigned to a dealer, so it could show up in a few days. That's my hope because I have a 7/14 build date as well.
  20. I'm not sure which is worse: ADM or this guy

First we have dealers charging ADM and to some extent MSRP plus accessories. Now we have people like this guy, buying a CTR and trying to sell it for $45,000. There are at least two things wrong with this: I know that this car was bought from one of the few dealers charging only MSRP and he took...
