if the piece is uncoated steel/iron it'll start rusting the second it leaves the factory where it is forged, has nothing to do with how things are built now vs back whenever. there is obviously no concern from the manufacturer about surface rust on this part so I wouldn't worry about it either...
no real benefit for turn signals but I swapped out my brake lights all around immediately with higher quality LEDs. There is a legit benefit with the increased response time/piercing light imo.
If you want to swap the rear blinkers you WILL need load resistors on each or you'll get...
why would an n/a engine that needs to rev 1K+ higher be more reliable?
anyhow, grinding noise is an unrelated component and its an issue present in other non-turbo Hondas. accord, crv etc.
they haven't because its an issue that Honda will need to release a fix for. its the vct actuator and if you do a search both accords, CR-Vs and I believe civic SI's have had the problem going back to since like 2008.
It's cold starts after the engine has been driven and then off for 1-3 hours...
even if you have frame damage its not that big of a deal. it'll be minor there. I had a slight bit when a big pickup hit me. Was about 7.5k-8k. Don't remember exactly, last December. Don't get me wrong, it sucks, but it'll all work out. Just make sure its a dealer doing the repair work...
usually with 5-10 miles left
I drove 15-20 miles after the light comes on in my 05 civic that I bought in jan 05 and put 190k miles on it and no problems. Wife is still driving that car today.
I haven't tried the phillips into the l/r brake but I can say the red zevo that I am using the 3rd brake light don't look great in them. The stock incandescent give a better more even light.
autozone and oreillys stock both the zevo line and the step below it from Sylvania as was mentioned prior.
replacing the bumper, trunk and rear lights on mine when getting rear ended was $7k...so yeah these are well beyond totaled (and who would want to drive something with that much frame damage - good luck ever getting the new panels to align)
somebody backed (or drove forward) into me while I was parked at the mall, inside watching a movie at the theater. Frankly I don't really have any idea what happened and there wasn't camera footage in the area where I was at. Must of been a big ass truck given the extent and height of the...
Warmer light cuts thru moisture in the air better than cool temperatures. Has to do with light refractions...there are articles on the topic.
HIDs and whatnot can compensate simply by being so much brighter than halogens in the rain but brightness doesn't help with fog necessarily. Eg turning...
7440 fits as well and works fine for all three rear brake lights. i'm using the Sylvania zevo LED bulds that o'reillys and autozone carry. It's my understanding 7443 is for dual filament bulbs like on brake lights that double as rear running lights (like my 05 civic has)
even the dealers don't have repair info or part #s yet. unfortunately I found that out first hand after someone mashed into my parked touring in a parking lot. They don't think they'll have anything and be able to get started until the 4th.
