I'm getting old, and I need a heated steering wheel like my wife's car. I love my FK8, and it's only missing this one thing. Let's pretend that cost is not an issue. Crappy Amazon heated covers won't cut it.
I've been lurking/listening/researching exhausts since I got my R back 7/17. I like a bunch, and can't decide. (saving up cash little at a time). Just saw DC Sports has one on MAPerformance, and I loved the DC Twin loop I had on my 6thgen. This one is not twin loop, but looks cool. I...
I'm almost due for some new pads/rotors, and i'm about to order from the internet. I would like to avoid the stealership. anyone have any suggestions for a shop to do my brakes around the dfw area? I am nervous with all of the misshaps I have read about with the electronic parking break, and...
Give Tritek in Garland a holla. I forget what brand, but they did ceramic 70% on my front with a dark banner on top. (the contrast gives the illusion of no tint on bottom). Legal % ceramic on the all the other windows. I was the 1st Type R they ever tinted, and ive been lovin it since 7/17...
i believe that some of the aftermarket sidemarkers have this functionality built in, and all you have to do is tap into your existing turn signal wire for functionality. i posted one style, but there are several on amazon and ebay to fit your style...
you could change out your A/C controls for the LX model like i did, and get your fan control back. only downside is losing the dual climate. search ebay 2016 civic climate control and make sure to get one with a fan speed knob instead of the dual climate. i picked mine up for less than $50
I have a set of oem fk8 wheels and tires with about 2,000 mostly highway miles on them. no scratches or dings. $1000 for the set, or $300 individually. willing to ship at buyers expense, or i can meet up within a 100 mile radius of the DFW area. these have been sitting in my garage wrapped...
i "downgraded" to the 10th gen si knob and i like the grip of the leather much better. i have ceramic tint on all windows, so heat wasn't a problem, but i was getting tired of the ice cube in the cold lol
In the meanwhile, I think I have come up with a viable alternative.
A completely Independent DIRECT TPMS system, using external Tire sensors (easy/cheap to install or remove).. easy to change their batteries, and an independent display, that only requires a USB supply, that can...
OEM FK8 wheels with no scratches and tires have 2k miles, mostly highway, and no track days. $2,000 obo. shipping at buyers expense, but I am willing to meet up 200 miles any direction from DFW TX. PM me if very interested and I will take pics. I wrapped em up real good last year before...
Thanks for the props Trey, I'm Ian :) I haven't been in the forum in a while because of how active the facebook groups are, and I'm glad you shared this mod.
I've had the Injen on for almost 1k miles with zero issues, and it sounds awesome (the main reason i bought it). And, i've read just as much debate about exhaust doing nothing except sound lol

I've had good luck in The Colony area, since most of the roads are newish by Spring Creek & SRToll. But when i go to work and take I-35 to Dallas for work, i memorize all of the potholes lol. I was on Inwood to go to John Eagle for service yest, and that road is sh*t. I also downsized to 19s...
